1. the sixth project/album
Don't know if anyone already pointed this out, if it makes any sense or if I am simply delirious, but I noticed this...
I was reading the lyrics of byredO...
"Sixth Project, with her I want to capture a different scene"
...and the fact that it referred to a number reminded me of dOra maar...
"You are my fifth subject"
Let's talk about dOra maar first, and then I'll go back to byredO!
If you count their projects so far putting together the albums split in two, Instinct pt. 1 (together with future pt. 2) is the fifth project of their concept:
dot point jump vol.1 + vol.2
unknown art pop 2.1 + yours only 2.2
produced by [ ], pt. 1 + pt. 2
instinct, pt. 1 (+ pt. 2)
So, the "fifth subject" in dOra maar could be referring to instinct, telling us thar in instinct we find the evolution of the art pop concept, more specifically in byredO I though, since in it they are referring again to a number ("the sixth"), right?
Also the lyrics and the themes they talk about in byredO seems to follow the ones of picassO and dOra maar: possession (picassO), obsession (dOra maar) and lust. (I could go more in depth here, and I'd like to, but for now I'll stop).
I then checked again the description of the libidO mv, and it basically confirms all of this:
If it's the same mechanism, byredO is referring to their next project, (not Instinct pt.2 but the next album) their sixth project, about which we still know absolutely nothing.
But, let's take a closer look to the lyrics...
"Sixth Project, with her I want to capture a different scene"
Could this be a clue to the fact that the sixth album will bring new themes into the universe? Perhaps Instinct pt.2 will close this first chapter of their universe, which will then expand.
If we take a look at the graph published in the official instagram profile of OnlyOneOf, we can clearly see that each album is a further expansion of the previous ones, thanks to the circles but also to the design and structure of the geometric figures that are gradually enriched with details:
I want to go in deep about the geometric figures and analyse their possible meaning too, but it's 3 a.m. now and my eyes & brain are begging for some sleep...let me know if anyone would be interested in a part 2 of this lol
(in my brain it makes sense and I tried to explain it in the best possible way, so I hope it makes at least some to you too and that I'm not talking nonsense!π)
