Does anyone perhaps want a starter? I'm thinking pre-Hope. So before Hayley found out she was pregnant?
drovemotherisms:
Henrik chuckled to himself about her comment about the book being a jumbled mess. “I can read it just fine. I speak and read Spanish,” he said keeping his eyes on the book. He looked down at her as Hayley told him she learned new things about him every second. “I speak four languages fluently. Perks of being an international businessman. I was in the process of still learning Japanese before coming here,” he said turning his attention back to the book. “It’s a good book. I always concentrate when I’m reading something. Same goes for when I write, draw, or paint,” he said turning the page again.
To say Hayley was impressed was just touching the surface of it all. Learning four different languages and not mixing them together was astonishing to her. “You’re really something you know that?” She inquired, but she couldn’t help but want to be playful. Her hand brushed against the side of the book, pushing it towards his other hand, “Come on, I didn’t agree to come here for you to read a book...” She said turning her head so she was leaning one cheek against his pelvic. “As interesting as the book may be to you, I can’t read the thing.”
drovemotherisms:
Henrik let out a chuckle when Hayley said she was sure he lived enough of the doom and gloom life. “You have no idea,” he muttered under his breath. “Coming right up,” he said before making her another drink, this time stronger than before, returning the glass to it’s spot in front of her. “Trust me you wouldn’t be able to handle my deepest, darkest Vegas story. No matter how much liquor is consumed.”
Hayley’s hand wrapped around the glass as it was returned to her, “Well you never know what I can handle if you don’t try in the slightest.” She stated as a smile graced her lips, “Start off small and work your way up, come on, I know you got some decent stories in your life somewhere.”

His hazel eyes never left the page as he felt her place her head on his lap and shift a bit before feeling her hand on his leg and a question left her lips. “ El ingenioso hidalgo don Quijote de la Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. The way it was originally published. Not the version that was translated into English,” he answered not looking up from the book, “The english title for it is Don Quixote.”
She wanted to mummer an apology, but instead she decided to keep quiet for the time being. “You can read that? It looks like a jumbled mess to me.” She said honestly, which in fact it did. She only knew one language -- English; if sarcasm counted that would be two. “I learn new things abut you every second, don’t I?” She inquired turning over so now that the back of her head was laying on his pants and she was looking up at him, “You’re so concentrated. It’s kind of amusing.”
I have an interview tomorrow at 10. So, I need sleep plus I still need to shower and what not. So good night <3
drovemotherisms:
Henrik watched her get comfortable. “I know I will,” he said before looking at her. “Get some rest Hayley.” Henrik scooted towards her to give her something to lean on as she slept and opened a book he had sitting on the table next to the couch. He opened to the page he left off at and started reading the book.
Hazel hues watched his body grow close enough to smell the liquor aroma from the bar left over on his clothes mixed with a particular aroma of cologne or body wash. Gently, she placed her head directly in his lap, pulling her legs up behind her and covered herself from the waist down. But going to sleep was nearly impossible for her, especially right now. “What are you reading?” She asked as she scooted her hand beneath her head.
drovemotherisms:
He laughed at her comment about a walking, talking back story making the dark haired Mikaelson laughed. “I’m not quite sure about that. I mean, I cannot picture my family rejoicing in the fact that I’m alive. After all I’ve heard about them, I’d probably end up in a glass display,” he said straightening up at the remark about his family. He didn’t want to expose who he was, he wasn’t ready to. Especially to her, someone whom he knew was connected to his siblings. “Hey, I didn’t spill my darkest Vegas stories. Just one of thousands of Vegas stories.”
Hayley shook head, “Even though I think your terribly wrong, enough with the doom and gloom -- I’m sure you live enough of it.” She replied finishing of her drink off and sliding it across the counter to him. “Next time, make it a bit stronger.” She said holding up her index finger and thumb closing the space between the two, “Now, how much alcohol do you have to consume to tell your deepest, darkest Vegas story?”
drovemotherisms:
Henrik watched her take her jacket off and kept his eyes on her before she asked about his family. About whether he found them or not. “I’ve found them, but I haven’t connected with them yet. I need to figure out how to reconnect with them. How to tell them what had happened instead of what they remember,” he said placing his arm across the back of the couch. “It’s the matter of which family member to approach first. Which one’s temperament will not be the harshest.”
She nodded, she understood where he was coming from. Trying to connect with the lineage her parents left her was hard enough, but to reconnect with your siblings, parents or whatever else he has left, may be even harder considering the time that’s went by. “I’m sure they’ll have their doubts, but I’m positive you’ll convince them you’re who you say you are. No family can turn away family.” She pulled the blanket up over her chest, despite the heat that the jacket held and it was roasting her out it was chilly. “It’s all a matter of the right time. You’ll figure it out. You seem smart enough to do it.” Hayley said almost in a teasing manner.
drovemotherisms:
Henrik listened to Hayley speak about her reason for being here in New Orleans. About being put up for adoption and coming back to find any family she had left. He wanted to know if she found them. But he didn’t want to pry. “Kind of, love. It’s a bit more complicated than that. Actually it’s a lot more complicated than that. In fact, my family isn’t exactly aware that I’m alive. I had an accident when I was younger and my family thought I was dead, but a woman our mother was friends with saw that I wasn’t but gave them a fake body to mourn over.” He said leaning on the counter. “I prefer bourbon actually. But I do drink beer as well. But fruity drinks? Not me. I’ve tried them before when I was in Las Vegas with a group of show girls but I wasn’t a huge fan.”
Hayley found it so strange that Henri freely and carelessly spoke about the supernatural. But it wasn’t her call to speak up and try to quiet him down after all half of the bar if not more is nothing but supernatural. “You’re just a walking, talking interest back story aren’t you?” She questioned with a soft laugh that pressed passed her lips. “I’m sure they’ll be excited to see you again, I’d be excited if I found out my family was still alive.” The brunette hybrid nodded with her words as she took another swig, slowly she was drinking more to the point it was almost empty. “And here I thought that the saying ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ was a sacred vow. You just totally proved that wrong.”
drovemotherisms:
“Honestly I was planning on replacing those. The previous owners seemed to have cut corners when it came to ordering drinking glassware and ordered cheap glasses to use for all drinks. Rousseau’s will have better glasses. They’ve already been ordered and now I don’t have to make an excuse to get rid of them,” he joked. Henrik felt her hand brush his as she took the blanket and he gave a soft smile when she asked him to stay. He nodded. “Okay,” he said. He took a seat on the couch removing his socks and shoes before putting his feet up on the coffee table before looking at her.
She did appreciate that Henri was making light of the situation and trying his hardest to make her feel better. But pushing how she felt bad would make her seem weak, she didn’t want to seem weak or in the slightest bit irritating. “Well, if Cami gets on you, just tell her it was my fault. I’m pretty sure she’ll understand – hopefully she will I should say.” She unfolded the blanket, kicked off her shoes, and laid back against the back of the couch laying the blanket across her legs. She leaned forward, taking off her leather jacket that was zipped from bottom to top and placed it next to her, revealing a plain, but tight white cami. “So your family…” She paused, “That you mentioned at the bar, did you ever find them?”
