we all know eddie’s mum was emotionally and mentally abusive towards eddie by telling him he had to have these inhalers and pills and shit when he didn’t. but have we ever wondered why? asides from the fact it was obvious she wanted him to stay with her for as long as possible by manipulating him like this, but why was she so worried if he left her side? Well in the beginning scene of IT (not the original and not chapter two) we see Georgie chasing his boat down the stream, and you also see that while Georgie is talking to Pennywise in the drain, there’s a woman standing on her porch watching this happen. If you pay attention, the woman looks very similar to Eddie’s mum. The woman witnesses Georgie get taken by Pennywise but runs back into her house with her cat. If you think about it, that woman could possibly be related to Eddie’s mum. Of course she isn’t exactly identical to her, but she looks very similar to her and could be Eddie’s gran or aunt even. Either way, she would most likely tell her (possible) daughter about this seeing as she has Eddie, her son. And maybe that’s why she is so protective of Eddie and paranoid, because she’s scared Pennywise will take Eddie as well as he took Georgie (foreshadowing lol). But obviously, it’s just a theory of mine. •
