this song describes my life
Being woke is so draining. It makes you feel isolated from your "friends" and peers cause some of them are fast asleep and don't wanna wake up.
Sometimes i am Bob, sometimes i am Linda.
i used to think it was fun and interesting to get into debates about feminism or racism, or in general challenge people’s bigotry and prejudice and call them out. but recently it’s become a burden. it’s a chore now. i no longer want to debate about whether or not i should have basic human rights, this shouldn’t even be a fucking issue anymore. i no longer go into these discussions with an open mind and a light-hearted demeanor, now i’m fucking furious. i should not have to defend my humanity at every single step, repeatedly and constantly. i’m done.
new year’s resolution:
may this year be more fuck yeah than fuck this
my mom says that I embarrass myself by speaking up about my mental illness. she asks if I’ve lost friends and why I am not ashamed of declaring myself Crazy. but speaking up about these things are my way of gaining strength in my pain. I refuse to be quiet. keeping my mental illness inside for years made it consume me. I am tired of not asking for help. I am tired of having to pretend I am okay. I am tired of silence. I will be unapologetic in my vulnerability. I will not be ashamed of being Crazy and asking for support. I will not shut up.
It does not matter. They do not matter. In the end, they are not you.

Tonight go to sleep as though your whole past has been dropped. – in the morning wake up as a new man in a new morning. Don’t let the same one who went to bed get up.

We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.

The worst thing in the world can happen, but the next day the sun will come up. And you will eat your toast. And you will drink your tea.
