"The timing of death, like the ending of a story , gives a changed meaning to what proceeded it " September 11 has for 16 years now, been a day when we stopped and looked around, appreciated what we had and those we loved, were thankful for what we had and vowed to make the little things matter. But this year all that was taken to a new level. I looked at the date and knew it had been a year since you left this world. I thought of the insane impact you made in 23 years. You brought more love, hope and smiles to this world than some have in a lifetime. And I think of what more time would have meant. But I also stopped and thought about what a positive and unbelievable legacy you left. I think of how many people have taken your message and let it inspire them to do better and love better and be kinder and shut down hate. Your sisters created an amazing foundation in your honor to keep your message going. I blasted your music all the way to and from work today and let it fill the empty back roads I drove. And then I got home and i cried. I cried because I'll never get over how unfair it is that you had such little time, i cried because of the all the pain you'd ever felt, and i cried because this disease takes more people everyday . And that's sucks and that's not fair . Then I pulled the program from your service of the wall, a memorial candle from the cabinet and a prayer book from the shelf. You weren't Jewish but I am. And this is what we do every year on the anniversary of a passing. So I prayed for your soul to find peace, for your family to feel the love that surrounds them , and for the world to realize the power of love. I wish I had more to say. I wish you were still here. Sometimes I wonder why, but I don't think we'll ever find the answer. So all we can do is #lovemore . Today , tomorrow, everyday .

When the stress of planning for two weddings (one of which is next weekend) , Father's Day tomorrow, three jobs, having been at the zoo everyday this week (twice on Thursday ) and trying to fit my committed work out schedule everyday starts to overwhelm me.....I'm proud to say I've come a long way from self harm and purging. I tried some breathing and did some deep stretches , and then reached for my all natural anxiety reducing supplements, and my greens 💚living with anxiety is a daily battle and some days it's harder, and some days I lose.
