Hi! I read your two posts of Kensei x Reader where S/O is Toshiro's older sister which those stories are really cute! If I can ask, maybe a story where S/O is waiting for Kensei's recovery, worrying a lot and her little brother Toshiro is comforting her? Maybe include when Kensei is recovered fully, S/O and Toshiro are both happy (as I feel like both Kensei and Toshiro would end up becoming friends by now), and it's a happy ending too. Hope this is ok! :D

In these peaceful days, it’s rare that there are harsh tasks which could lead to any serious loss. However, there is always an exception, the task Kensei took put him under serious injuries and must be strictly cared for by members of 4th squad. After hours of surgery, he was transferred to the recovery room where he is under critical care. No one is allowed to enter, so you can only see him through the window.

Day by day, you haven’t skipped a day to visit him. As a result, your brother must raise his voice.

“You're gonna collapse before he awakes.”

Toushirou stands next to you, crosses his arms and frowns his brows. The line between his eyebrows carved deeper as he sees your red eyes and tired face. He glances at the person resting in the room, and murmurs in his throat.

“Stupid…” - swiftly he turns to his sister - “Captain Unohana said he gotta be better soon.”

You acknowledge it but can’t give up the anxiety. Toushiro gives a long sigh, attempting to find the right words. Before he came, Rangiku had reminded him not to badmouth the patient, even though he didn’t like him.

“Captain Muguruma is not weak enough to be defeated by those injuries. It’s just… more than the last time…”

You stare at your brother. He turns away and clears his throat.

“… tomorrow he will… jump out of the bed and… do 100 pushups… maybe…”

Words come out awkwardly, but it brings a smile to your exhausted face as you see his flushing ears. It does not suit his normal personality, so your feeling is boosted up. You understand you have caused your brother to worry too much, which he had to make jokes against his character.

Not only are you tired of taking care of Kensei, but your brother is also tired of taking care of you. You hug him like old times and appreciate his awkward encouragement. So, you take a deep inhale and lighten your spirit. You glance at Kensei for the last time before you leave.

Toushiro approach the glass window, murmurs

“You better wake up soon, you cause such trouble thank to your recklessness.”

Then he follows you.

In the recovery room, Muguruma’s eyebrows knit together as if he heard someone criticizing him.

As Toushiro has said, members in 4th squad announce the healing process is nice but not yet awake, so Muguruma is transferred to a general room, and others can come and take care of him. Your distress just gets faded. Toushiro secretly exhales a sigh of relief, he can see your smile again then.

Since that day, you happily take care of him after work, sometimes Toushiro tags with you. You both talk to the unconscious patient as if he is listening. Someday, Mashiro and others in 9th Division stop by and are kicked out because of how loud they are, and Hisagi has to apologize to captain Unohana.

One day, when you come, you hear heavy huffing in the room. As the door opens, Muguruma is doing push-ups. You drop your stuff, not for excitement but worry.

“What are you doing? Back to your bed.” - shouted you.

Behind you, Toushiro pulls up a smirk and throws an insulting glance to the muscular man. Just as he said.

Muguruma frowns as being interrupted, he against:

“My muscles are tired of resting.”

“Shut up and go back to bed.” - you scold him.

He is still stubborn and proudly shows you his nicely healing wounds. Both of you throw words forth and back. A happy reunion becomes chaos. Even when he is against you, he is never harsh on you, not as he talks to others. Until you are out of breath for his muscle brain, he caresses your back to soothe your annoyance. He finally goes back to his bed as he can’t stand your sulking anymore.

“You wake up after all?” - Toushiro coldly voices. Muguruma glances at him and nods. “I told you not to worry much about him, his skin is thick and as well his brain.” - he mocks.

But Muguruma does not really care. He turns to you and sees the bag under your eyes, and you lose weight too as he carries up suddenly to measure. It causes you embarrassment. His expression gets unpleasant. Then, you carefully pat his arm, calm him down.

“I’m glad that you are awake.” - you smile at him, which sore him more. Because of his recklessness, you have to exhaust yourself.

Then, you leave to change the flowers and buy him something.

In the room, two men look at each other. Toushiro crosses his arms, glances at the other.

“Do you have any idea about what you caused?”

Muguruma groans, totally he acknowledges. Toushiro sighs, it is useless. Not only him, but all the soul reapers are going to be in danger or have brutal injuries. No one can avoid it. Toushiro had experienced this before. That time, his sister had cried out of eyes and burst into happiness as he regained consciousness.

“You should be careful. Or next time, I won’t hand her to you.”

“You threaten me?” - Muguruma raises his eyebrow, but looking at his stern expression, he is not joking - “… can’t help.”

Toushiro sighs, he gets the point.

“At least come back and see her.”

“…” - Muguruma nods

Another silence gap.

“…” - Muguruma doubts his thoughts, but he still spits out - “when I was unconscious, I heard someone grumble into my ears.”

“…”

“It was not her,” - after years being with his partner - “she nags whenever I get injured, but no hate in her words. But this one… if I could, I would punch them.”

Toushiro smirks, as if you dare. He always left after his sister, so he took some minutes to give this rock head kinds of words.

“They always told me to wake up at the end, someone waiting.”

Toushiro keeps silent. He glances at Muguruma, all the way he talks, the pair of brown eyes put on him. It seems there are not only muscles in his brain. However, Toushiro doesn’t commit, neither argue.

You come back at the moment when everything is not comfortable between your brother and your man. Their relationship is not quite good. Toushiro always mocks Muguruma’s aggressive attitude.

“You should thank her a lot.” - Toushiro says - “the only person who can stand your recklessness.”

Again they are, you sigh.

“Because she’s stubborn.” - Muguruma replies.

“Uhm”

You have no idea why the rest of their conversation is about you, mocking and praising combined. But, you are absolutely delighted that they can throw words back and forth.

“Any funny?”

Their words just sync, you have no choice but laugh. They smack their tongue at the same time.

The members of 10th Division were astonished by their captain recently. He still wore his super serious face, but the aura was kind of flowers and pink. One day, Rangiku found out he was searching for information on how to take care of a pregnant woman.

“Captain, congrats, you lost your vir-“

“You ask for death.”

The blaze was on her neck and the temperature fell down to minus celsius froze her words. She laughed, it was fun to kid her captain. She was totally clear who got pregnant, and her captain was preparing for his first time to be an uncle.

From the day he acknowledged he would be an uncle in a few next month, his emotions took turns between amazement and nervousness. He was full of happiness when he thought about the baby, but considering his sister he was worried.

For the first few months, his sister was not in the mood, and she could not even eat almost anything. He and her husband - captain Muguruma - always kept eyes on her. After that, the condition got better, and two men gave a sigh of relief.

Rangiku was aware of the situation, therefore she lightened up the tasks for her captain, so he could leave the office before sunset.

Whenever he was back from his office, he stopped by a sweet shop to buy his sister's favorite sweets. Because of that, he and Muguruma always shouted at each other. Muguruma said the sweet was not good, but his sister liked it, so Toshirou was against him all the time.

Him and Muguruma could not always be by her side, when he was on missions. He asked Momo to keep an eye on his sister (he had no belief in Rangiku).

When the baby's gender was announced, he took time to visit the baby store to find the best suits for his niece/nephew. However, the taste of fashion in soul society was plain. He wandered around but could not choose anything.

“Why don’t we go to the Living World, they’ve got tons of styles” - Rangiku suggested.

They took a trip to the Living World. Rangiku brought him to shop by shop. Living Humans had more taste than those who lived for hundreds years.

“The baby is a boy or a girl?” - Rangiku asked.

Option 1: That’s a boy

He eyed those gentlemen suits. He did not forget the kimono. He chose picky which could make his nephew more manly.

Rangiku recommended some animal rompers, he complained that was so childish.

“He’s a baby, cap.”

Therefore he picked two or three.

Option 2: That’s a girl.

He was breathtaking by a kingdom of beautiful dresses. There were plenty of outfits, and he could not make his mind to choose any.

After hours of consideration, he bought dresses he felt they would be pretty on his niece. The last was the kimono, an adorable one for a girl.

On D-Day, the dad and uncle waited outside with cold sweats on their forehead and back, as their beloved one in pain.

The first cry of the baby bursted their happiness out. They dashed to the room to see the mother and baby.

Days after, he took care of his sister carefully. He even learned to cook nutrient soups and meals. When the nurse told he could hold the baby, he was too nervous. His flexible muscles were just stiff as the baby was in his arms. Too small and light.

Days after, his phone was full of the baby. His eyes shone up as the baby wore his chosen clothes.

Month after month, the baby grew up fast and healthy. They could babble, then they could walk. He brought them outside, bought them toys, spoiled them with baby food. He was glad that he bought those animal rompers. Looking at the rabbit/bear running to him, just gave him a heart attack. He almost died again as they called him “uncle” for the first time.

Years passed, the baby grew big, they could learn to use a sword. He, as well as their dad, was more strict in their practice. But there were always rewards after hard working time.

They learned well not to joke with his height, or their sword practice would be in hell.

He could be a nice, but also a strict uncle either. Therefore, the children gave him their full respect, scared and loved him at the same time.

You turned your back and flee away. He was back to his old form, but still kept his dark nature. Your intuition did not feel good. You served him his tea. He politely thanked you.

He was with his tea and observed you ran here and there, table to table. You told him, he should take a tour around the school and enjoy the living world school festival. He accepted your suggestion after asking about your break time.

On time, he came back to pick you up. Even though he was in his dark or white mode, his gentleman was unchanged. He brought you around the school. Everywhere he was, girls’ eyes followed him. You both joined most of the mini-games, but the haunted house. Your man was a soul reaper, King of Hueco Mundo, so how you could be scared of those kid tricks.

You followed him without defense. He led you to a classroom at the end of the hallway. You got in, but nothing was there, just a normal class. The flick of the lock woke you up. You turned back, Aizen had been back to his true form which his hair slicked back, and he took away his glasses. You inhaled cold air.

“You seem to enjoy other men's eyes on you, my dear maid.”

He talked to you so calmly and found a chair to sit down. The invisible pressure burdened on you.

“I have no choi-”

“You smiled shine before them.”

Aizen did not buy your words and kept pissing you up.

“Sousuke…”

“Is that the way you talk to your master?”

You gulped.

“M-My apology, master…”

You bowed your head. He pulled a smile up and commanded you to approach him.

At the moment you reached him, he caught your elbow, causing you to fall on him.

“Your master has given you a happy time. It’s time to pay back your master’s favor.”

 “B-but my break time is almost up…”

“Make it quick, then.”

He drew an I-don’t-care smile. You could not help but accept your fate.

How she knows when he passes by, he’s so curious. And they have to hide just to watch things happening in his own office from a far distance.

“Captain Muguruma isn’t as brave as his appearance.”

Her surprised face pisses him up.

“He has a crush on our dear y/n.”

As exactly as Rangiku said, Muguruma kept visiting the 10th division whenever he had done his missions. He is not good at making excuses, but luckily recently the captain was often not in the office when he arrived. He just comes to see you. Therefore, thanks to the captain and lieutenant who ran away and left a ton of documents for their 3rd seat.

But somehow he is so glad that he has a chance. Even though you had no time to notice his silent eyes on you. Even though you refuse his help with the tower of documents, he ignores all. He wants to be with you, walk around with you in another division under the coat of helping.

He doesn’t only help you, but sometimes he brings some sweets or dumplings if he comes at lunch. That is as a thank you for your delicious tea, he told you that. You don’t know that his heart keeps beating up when he sees your happy face as you eat the sweets he gave. He wishes for the moment could last longer when he is with you. That doesn't sound like him, but he has to keep his feelings away from you.

“Why doesn’t he speak out?”

“Dunno, maybe he’s as shy as you, captain.”

He really pisses up with his lieutenant. He gives up the hideout and goes back then.

Muguruma never expects the captain’s return, and you at the same time are called out by other officers. So, today ends here. You left and he also made his steps out of the room.

He is walking on the hallway, coincidentally hearing your voice from a distance. You yell at someone. He takes a way toward your voice.

“He’s a captain.” You are talking with your co-officers. There are two of them.”In the war time, he protected us with his power.”

“That power could kill us someday…”

His power, not as a soul reaper, but a Visored who had gained Hollow power as well. He becomes more powerful in his hollow stage, but… if one day he loses the right to control it. When that day comes, he unconsciously hurts you as what he did to his comrades years ago.

“We’ll help him.”

Muguruma holds his breath listening to your soft words.

“If we can’t, the one’s got hurt is him. Attack others unwillingly, that guilt feeling will obsess your rest of life. I’ll be stronger, I could stop him hurting others and himself then.”

There was a time, Rangiku told him that “do not underestimate our 3rd seat, they’re stronger than they look.”

“Nice words y/n.”

Rangiku appears behind him. The three soul reapers jump up. Muguruma doesn’t move his eyes from you. He more assures his feelings for you. It’s gotten deeper and deeper.

His gaze makes you not comfortable. You didn’t realize his appearance and spoke out your thoughts. How embarrassing you feel now. You follow others to get out of the awkward space, but his big arm blocks the entrance.

He has wasted his time for so long.
