i stay back to continue talking with the buzz

you called out and said u don't have cash in bank

i took out a card and all i heard was

why do you need to get this drunk

i brushed it off cause everyone was there

i said my goodbyes, glance over and saw u waiting

time to go i said

i wanted to hold u but all i got was a shoved and a grunt

telling me indirectly to buzz off as fast as i could

it hurts

cause all you see is someone you dislike

over something that you felt triggered

which give u a reason to react that way

it hurts

so bad

when my partner, my lover, my other half shoved me and treated me with humiliation and disrespect.

It hurts sometimes

It's kinda sad that I have to do this alone this year. I'm glad I decide to choose happiness and to celebrate but boy, the heart hurts.

The people that I thought I could share this moment with did not send any messages and again, I felt that I have been let down again to do this by myself. Once again.

Someone did offered but... I just don't know if I could. It would be a fake, happy me when inside, all I wanna do is to curl up and cry. I wanna choose happiness today so please, no tears.

One is so absorb in her life stories while the other thinks that blocking me out of his life is the best thing just because I said no when he asked for a opinion. Is family really everything?

Sigh.

It's okay girl. Being alone is okay. You been doing this for so many years. Let's suck this up.

It's your birthday

Another year has passed and as usual, as the day come closer, thoughts always pass through, thinking how you are doing and what do you like these days. This year, you step into the age that triggers a whole lot of memories. I pray and hope that you stay safe from everything that happened to me before. I pray and hope that you are enjoying the life of a 9 year old and growing with kindness and much love.

I tried searching for your face but came to no results. It's alright. Perhaps that is for the best. I know somewhere, you are safe and sound and that is the important thing.

I told myself that I shouldn't be sad today cause it's a day to celebrate a young girl birthday. You are alive and well and that is the important thing.
