Asked my dad to take photos during his seminar for my photography class (the view best the school is kinda boring and I wanted ✨ variety✨) and I feel like we just unlocked good hidden talent of landscape photography
Anyways I showed the photo to my groupmates and they praised him a lot, safe to say I sent them an annoying amount of photos that doesn't even fit the activity requirement. This must be how parents feel when bragging about their kids, how very satisfying.
Side note: nothing beats appreciating nature when you need a photo matching an annoyingly specific technique
I have a NEED for more fics that depict Dazai as being someone that’s inherently slightly unsettling.
Not scary or threatening or intimidating but just…off. It’s an aspect of his character that doesn’t seem to appear in a lot of fanon. He’s just so WEIRD in canon.
No matter how charismatic/charming/endearing/amusing/enthusiastic he presents himself as being, there is always SOMETHING in his eye — some small, unnameable thing — that triggers a sense of discomfort in the other person. It’s seen time and time again within canon.
He just can’t help it. Whatever it is, it’s always lingering within Dazai internally and can be seen in his gaze.
It’s so so interesting and I’m so sad I never see anybody else talking about it.
Quote One:
A chill seemed to pass through the room.
I shifted my attention to the young man. His gaze was fixed on the wall, his face devoid of any emotion and meaning. He was as calm as if he’d simply stated his age.
The sight was nearly incomprehensible. It didn’t even feel like I was looking at a human being. Had this encounter occurred during midnight’s darkest hour rather than daybreak, I might have mistaken him for a ghost or perhaps a hallucination.
(Oda’s Perspective — The Day I Took In Dazai)
Quote Two:
“I’m Kunikida. If there’s anything you don’t understand, I’m here to help.”
“Oh, so you’re a detective at the legendary Armed Detective Agency! It’s an honor to meet you!”
He grabs my hand and shakes it vigorously, almost theatrically.
In that instant, I catch a cold, piercing glint in his eyes—as though he were calmly assessing his senior. No… it feels more like he’s peering straight into my soul through the gaze of some enlightened sage.
(Kunikida’s Perspective — Dazai’s Entrance Exam)
Quote Three: Dazai’s gaze quietly penetrated Mori, as if his eyes could see inside the man’s body like some sort of medical device.
“To that end, I was the perfect accomplice. Nobody would suspect a thing. Once you became the boss after I vouched for you…I could have simply killed myself for some unknown reason.”
The pair spent the next few moments staring at each other in silence so heavy and noxious you might think it was a stare-down between the grim reaper and a demon. A single word rang in Mori’s head over and over like an alarm.
Miscalculation.
You misjudged the situation, he told himself. You failed to pick the optimal solution. You shouldn’t have chosen this child to help you. Dazai is unpredictable. He can be sharp, but in a dark, twisted way. He’s observant. He’s cold and calculating with no equivalent even in the Mafia, where the most evil reside.
arospec souheki where they're both each other's first love and don't know what to do about it so they're just bullshitting their way through a relationship they fully believe the other has more knowledge about
Throwback to that time where we received an email from a company we wanted to intern with but the person's name was not gendered so we searched for their account in social media and then we found them on linkedin. They were a guy. Except my friend's gaydar was going off so we wondered if we should put Ms. on the response email. We entertained putting Mx. too but the person might not vibe with that. So anyway, we ended up using Mr.
.... Anyways, on the next email we got from that person we were both addressed as Mr. (we're both GIRLS with very gendered names)
I will never get over how creative the usage of abilities are in Bungou Stray Dogs. Chuuya shooting loose bullets at the Hunting Dogs. Junichiro making the road look clear to a truck driver. The way Kunikida can activate his ability from afar. The time stopping plan in prison. How Atsushi’s ability reverses any damage he takes like it’s rewinding time. The way he and Akutagawa are able to combine there abilities.
Not to mention that they’re all based on actual stories from classic works and fit them thematically too onto of that.
