My (and my partner's) hcs for other white men in BES:
Violet is the easiest bc he "lived loud" so I imagine him to be an old drunk with a weakness for sex workers. The kind you see blackout drunk on the floor of an old pub after too much whisky knocked him unconscious. He stinks so bad. Women hate his guts. Probably gets robbed a lot.
Now's the fun part bc the rest of them are supposed to be worse than Fowler (to be fair, in my opinion Fowler isn't that bad morally but that's for another post).
I imagine one of them to be a religious fanatic for sure and doesn't Skeffington just sound this way to y'all? Just imagine the possibilities for the plot. I see him as big on discipline and rules, a cruel man who likes to "fix" people in all the wrong ways. I highkey hc him to be very Frollo-coded.
Now last but not least is Routley with his pretty eyes (Abijah's crush is showing). And wouldn't it be just wonderful if he looked like the softest, nicest person in the world? Just a little out of it, probably on drugs, but with a kind smile, round cheeks. He'd be phlegmatic, lazy, forgetful. But then, out of the blue, he'd get the craziest psycho moments and anger tantrums.
