“Yeah sort of” she said with a heavy voice and began walking back in the direction they had just came from. “I noticed it after we heard the screams and I began running, so it shouldn’t take us too long to get there.” Her demeanor was off and the usually optimistic, loud blonde was now somber and disappointed. Where could they have gone, its not like they weren’t safe especially those three, but she couldn’t help but begin to get more and more worried that something had happened to her team mates.
He could hear the gloom in her voice, and he so badly wanted to comfort her, but there was nothing he could say. He was a horrible liar, and anything even mildly comforting that he could come up with sounded empty, fake. He really needed to work on his people skills. Actually, he should first go about acquiring people skills, then work on them so he could effectively comfort someone. This situation where he felt helpless was nearly unbearable. Trying to push away his discomfort, and succeeding mildly, he gestured to Lucy. “Lead the way.”
