choon couldn’t care less about the other boys, her eyes were stuck on her smiling brother as she waited for him to finally explain. she would’ve seen it coming, but it was such a surprise that she stayed silent for a second with her eyes widened, trying to processes what he just said. it finally registered and clicked in her brain and she let out a loud, high pitched scream as she tackled yejun with a hug. “jamie?! are you serious?! the lead role? the jamie??” 

the boys all waited for a scream, some of them dropping their hands thinking it passed. then it came and was followed by yejun’s scream laugh, all of them teasingly groaning at the siblings. he hugged her back, still laughing a little, too happy about everything that day. “yes, the jamie.” he confirmed. “i didn’t tell anyone i even auditioned because i didn’t want to jinx it.”

did choonhee look like a mess? yes. she had a hastily put together bun on top of her head and was wearing the first dress she could reach in her closet. did she care? no, not when she was told her brother had some news. she didn’t know whether to be excited or not. “what’s going on?” she said as she walked into the living room, eyes settling on yejun immediately. she tilted her head slightly as if she was already getting an idea of where this was going. “yes…?” she answered, trailing off. she let out a small scream when she got the news she was expecting, hands immediately moving up to her mouth in shock. except that wasn’t it. yejun kept going and her eyes widened, and arms dropped. “… what?!” she asked, eyes wide in shock and confusion. 

yejun laughed loudly as her initial reaction, clapping his hands together when she looked at him with confusion. she was usually good at guessing games, but he knew this one could throw her off. “well, that’s my news. that i’m-” inseong interrupted by clearing his throat, alerting everyone to cover their ears before he revealed the news. one by one the boys did so, nick who had come up beside her taking a step back. “i got the role of jamie.”

yejun was sure he hadn’t felt so excited in so long, and with his sister being one of his best friends he just couldn’t wait to tell her his news. he didn’t waste any time once she was invited inside by woosung, cross-legged on the couch and practically bouncing in his spot. “so, you know how you wanted to see everybody loves jamie?” he asked, seeing the other boys trying to hide their smiles. “i think i’ll be able to get you best tickets in the house. small problem, though. you’ll have to go with someone else. because i’ll be kind of busy being on stage.”

his pout turned into a smile when yejun tapped his lips, almost as if he had a magic touch. sewoon was soon laughing at how yejun stared at the tent, lightly hitting his shoulder playfully. “you’re such an idiot.” he joked, shaking his head. “you sure you don’t want to ask him just because you have a crush on him?” he playfully wiggled his eyebrows at him, keeping up with the running joke between them.

“is it obvious? do you think he knows?” yejun acted nervous for a second before shaking his head, linking his arm through sewoon’s and leaning up to kiss his cheek. “we just need a slightly less useless gay.” he giggled.

“just because you two had a fake wedding one time…” she made a face at her brother. she grinned afterwards, finding it amusing how he didn’t want to hear about that topic. “why not? one day we might, and that kid will be your cutest niece or nephew.”

“well, have you had any weddings?” he quipped back, sticking his tongue out childishly. he scrunched his face up jokingly, acting like he didn’t want to hear any of it. “and they’ll get all that cuteness from nick.” he teased with a short laugh. “i’m sure you will, you annoyingly adorable loved up puppies.”

“but i want to canoodle.” he joked along, dramatically pouting at him. sewoon sighed, looking back at the mess they created. “you think if we stare at it hard enough, it’s gonna set itself up?” he asked jokingly, only because he wanted a break from it to take a nap. only they didn’t have a place to take a nap yet.  

“we must have our privacy.” yejun gave a nod at his pout, reaching up to tap his lips with his finger tip. yejun tilted his head up and narrowed his eyes at sewoon’s joke, then looking back at the tent and widened his eyes like he was going to do just that. he let out a heavy sigh and slumped his shoulders, “look’s like that won’t work.” he spoke again with a short laughing, nudging sewoon with his elbow gently. “should we ask nick to help? nick’s nice.”

“honestly, mate. if he surprises you with a pink tent when you’re camping, you know he’s the one. get a diamond ring and marry the fuck out of the dude. it’s time to have his babies.”

“hey, that’s my husband you’re talking about.” yejun placed his hands on his hips with a huff, though his playful smile soon showed up. “ew, no. don’t want to hear about you making babies. slow it down.”

“so, uhh…” sewoon looked at the mess that was his and yejun’s tent. the two of them have lost the instructions to pitch it, and have decided to just eye it. it didn’t seem to be going their way. so far they have gotten stuck inside, tripped over it and almost got smacked in the face with one of the sticks that held it up. “what do you think about sleeping outside by the fire?” he asked his boyfriend sheepishly, trying to catch his breath that he lost, hands on his waist.

yejun felt like he could feel the rest of their friends staring at them from where they were almost finished setting up, him and his boyfriend hopeless together at the task at hand. yejun was fiddling with a bit of rope, squinting at the material that half up and half still flat on the ground. “what do you think about going home?” he countered with a laugh, huffing as he let go of the rope. “we can’t sleep outside, what if we want to canoodle?” he joked again, pretending to be genuinely concerned. “come on, we got this. we just have to... shit, i don’t know. i’m the pretty one, not the practical one.”
