ik ur getting a lot of gem questions but - how are u feeling??

oof that's a loaded question haha... I'm okay but going through a lot with my health that I'm not gonna get too into. But basically medications I need to get better have been making me really sick. I've been told it'll pass but it's been causing me to be tired and nauseous almost 24/7 and that can make it hard to keep up with commissions, etc so I've had to put a lot on hold until it does pass :T keeping positive though and appreciating all the kindness and support I get from all you wonderful people! 👍👍

I know it's not an easy question, but u was wondering: do you ever prefer your original designs to the later designs of fusions in the show (rainbow 2.0 for example?)

Not at all, I had fun making them at the time but I’m not upset because I love the canon versions so much! I did love Cherry’s skin patches and would really love to see that kind of thing incorporated for another character.I might be a tiny bit upset when/if Turquoise’s canon counterpart appears if they look super different only bc I’ve grown pretty fond of the little details I put into them, but I’m sure I’ll fall in love with the canon version pretty soon just like all the others

Mmm, not really? I guess Sunstone’s design was initially surprising considering how different they were to all the ones before them and it took a minute to get used to but that wasn’t a dislike or anything. I’m happy they’re going a bit more out-there with the designs as the show progresses and hope that continues.

If I had to say anything I wish Carnelian looked less like an Amethyst recolour I suppose? But she was probably just meant to be a one off character for that episode so I do understand… If I was gonna redesign her though I’d probably give her 

- elongate her whole body and face slightly. When she says “I’m not the shortest anymore” it doesn’t seem noticeable, (which I’m aware is probably the joke) but I would make her a bit bigger like in RS’s famethyst concept art just to emphasize how overcooked Amethyst is- little beefier arms- curlier hair, because when Peridot is examining the Alpha kindergarten she points out that 8xj has curly hair because her exit hole has iron deposits. The gem Carnelian gets it’s colour from iron oxide so… make sense to me 🤷

So there's ametrine and amegreen, but are there any other real life "fusion" gems involving amethyst?

Melody Stone is a combination of Amethyst and Cacoxenite (usually a few other minerals that grow in the same areas but those are the predominant components Spirit/Cactus Quartz are Amethyst but with a different crystalline structure and often have White Quartz (and sometimes Citrine) in their make up

What do you think of the movie?

Was good… had to wait all day and avoid tumblr until I could find a decent stream to watch though haha. Some expected things, some unexpected things, lovely animation and a good story arc going into the next season. I feel like it maaaaybe could’ve used one more new fusion (or fusion tease?) but I couldn’t ask for much more, it felt like it’s own story and a continuation of the world at the same time👍

Hi! My friend got a three word prompt for a gemsona with the words elite, ice and rebellion. She wanted a black and blue gem but couldn't find anything that fit. What do you think would work? It can be a fusion or anything!
