Hi there! Are you guys still active? Wondering if we're having a kacxa week this year đ€
How the heck did you even find this account?
For Kacxa Week 2019, any idea when the themes will be posted?
Homie I think I'm the only surviving moderator of this blog and even I forgot about it.
Just curious, but what's the chance of having another Kacxa event or various events through out the year?
Kacxa week will be in the fall, probably in October like last year. As for other events, there is nothing planned, but if you are interested in starting another event for the summer or some other time of the year, feel free to! The more Kacxa content the better! XD
Mod: Lou
Keith: How about Yorak?
Acxa:âŠ.I like that.

Kacxa Week Day 1: Future
@kacxaweek
I know kacxa week was a month ago but i am a slow writer so bear with me
Summary: Unexpected things can happen in the middle of the desert at 5:30 am.

Keithâs phone rang at 5 am on a Saturday. Whoever was calling better had a good reason to interrupt his much desired sleep.
âKeith?â
âHunk? Why the hell are you calling me at this hour? Please tell me Lance didnât burn the Garrison down.â
âNo, Lance hasnât done anything, not that i am aware at least, maybe he did bu-â
âHunk, i beg you, get to the damn point.â
âRight, the point. Acxa is gone.â
âWHAT?!?â Keith sat up with a jolt and tried to process what Hunk had just told him, âWhat do you mean she is gone? Where did she go?â
âWell thatâs what i donât know, all i know is that i was walking back to my room and-â
âWait, why are you still up at 5 am?â
âI may or may not have stayed up all night experimenting with new recipes in the Garrison kitchen.â
âYou are insane. Okay, back to Acxa.â
âOkay so I was walking back to my room and when I passed by Acxaâs, I noticed that the door was open, so I looked inside to see if there was something wrong. It was empty, Keith. She wasnât there and all of her stuff was gone.â
Keith closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. He had no idea what could have caused her to leave so suddenly. It had only been three months since the fight with Sendak, but Keith thought that Acxa was getting used to being on Earth. He thought that she liked being here, that she liked being⊠with him.
âKeith? You okay, man?â Hunk asked when he got no response from him. âShe canât have gone too far, she was here last night. Maybe you can still find her.â
âThatâs what i plan to do. Thanks for calling, Hunk. I really appreciate it.â
âNo problem, what can i do to help?â
âYou have helped me enough, now please go to sleep you idiot.â
âOkay fine, but you call me if anything happens. Good luck, Keith. I hope you can find her.â
âI hope so too.â
This is my (late) entry for @kacxaweek Day 1, âfutureâ.
But itâs not done yet, I just like this version right, lol. The full, real version will be submitted soon.
Kacxa week Day 7: bonding
Keith could feel every second of time that passed while he and his mother were in the Quantum Abyss. Â Could see it in the way his hair fell across his face and the way his body felt stiff in the mornings. Â It didnât help that the wolf forced him to curl this way and that around him when they slept at night. Their comms didnât pick up any transmissions and he had no way of knowing what his friends and the Castle of Lions were going through. Â
Seeing the flashes of the past and how his mother ended up on Earth, how much she loved him when he was born, and now learning of how much it hurt for her to sacrifice being with the ones she loved to protect them and the universe. Heâd been wrong thinking that sheâd left because she didnât care. Heâd seen flashes of what he assumed was his future too.
âLook Acxa, itâs your favorite paladin.â
âI guess it is true love.â
The next flash showed him and the Galra general together with the wolf, curled up together fast asleep. Â He didnât recognize the surroundings, but was able to gather that they were still in space from the minimal furnishings in the room. Â His hair was still unruly, but there werenât much indicators to show how far into his future he was seeing.
******
âAcxa saved our skin. Iâm not gonna leave her behind.â
Keith took off towards the sounds of a scuffle, shield activated to stop what was sure to be a crushing blow from her former teammates, he dove in front of Acxa only to pause when he heard a phrase heâd heard once before.
âOh look, Acxa. Itâs your favorite paladin.â
âSo do you guys actually know each other?â
âYeah, donât you remember how she never wanted to kill him?â
âI guess it is true love.â
It was startling to relive a memory, but even more so to realize that the banter heâd heard in the Quantum Abyss was happening during a fight.
âCanât we just fight?â He said, lunging forward.
Following their getaway, Keith and Acxa settled into the Black Lion. Â Sheâd given him coordinates to a nearby moon that would allow them to resupply and rest before continuing on their way. Â
âIâm sorry about that,â she replied, still laying on the floor of the cockpit behind his chair, clutching at her side. âBack there with Zethrid and Ezor.â
Keith remained still, trying to process his thoughts and feelings before turning to face her, but she must have taken his silence for anger or displeasure, as she had left the cockpit area. He found her when she exited the bathroom, a damp towel pressed against her jaw.
âIs it true?â He asked as she stopped at the sight of him in the hallway.
Acxa stood there, staring just over his shoulder. âThey knew that I missed the shot on your Lion. Â A shot that was locked on. Lotor was quite vocal in his castigations. And then they saw me help you at the Kral Zera.â
He nodded slowly, remembering when they locked eyes after sheâd taken the shot, face set in a grimace, he was trying to piece together everything, but again she mistook the sullen look on his face.
âIâm sorry if Iâve made things difficult for you.â She sidestepped around him and made herself busy as she remove her armor to determine what needed to be repaired or scrapped, effectively dismissing herself.
They didnât speak the rest of the way.
******
âIt led me to you.â
Acxa excused herself from the group around the campfire and ducked below the sheet that sheltered the pallet sheâd made in to her bed along the floor.
âAcxa wait,â Keith called as he followed behind her.
He smiled softly at her, âDo you believe in fate?â
Kacxa-Week 2018: Day 7 Sparring/Bonding
It is a little late but I had some difficulty writing this one. But this is my last post for Kacxa-Week.Â
It had been 3 hours since he had sealed himself in the train deck. He had grown frustrated with Allura again and gotten into a rather large argument on how to handle the revelation of Haggar using Alteans as sacrificial guinea pigs. She wanted to go rushing in to save her people, something he would have done in her case, but he felt they needed intel first. Intel so they wouldnât get caught with their pants down like at Naxzela.
Where Haggar was, what her current strengths were etc. Something Allura did not want to hear and took offense to. Something to which brought up Naxzela and how everyone nearly died. How they all, almost died had it not been for proper intel and Lotor saving them at the last possible moment. Something which caused Allura to make a jab at the Blade of Marmora and Keith retaliate by saying âAt least the Blades werenât focused on stupid Voltron shows, and just so you know, had you and the otherâs listened and followed up on the Quintessence leads WE could have found that Altean colony sooner than Haggar!â
He left the briefing between the Paladins, Blades, MFE Pilots, Garrison Brass, and Rebel Leaders. Shiro followed to reprimand him but was given a look simply saying âDonât startâ causing him to raise his arms in defeat knowing when to talk to his younger brother and when to chastise him and when to leave him alone. Instead, Shiro went back to the briefing room to try and mitigate the carnage left behind.
That was 3 hours ago or going based off Keithâs time 8 Training Programs ago. He calmed himself readying his bayard and luxite sword. He had some bruises, scrapes, and cuts along his body, but he was still fuming from his blow up with Allura. He yelled âBegin Training Programs 9 and 10!â He smirked as 3 training drones appeared, one wielding a sword, another a staff, and another a whip. THey all charged at him in which he released a war cry.
Keith was so enthralled in his training that he failed to notice someone was watching him. He hadnât even heard the doors swoosh open. Only her clapping alerted him to her presence. He turned shooting a glare towards the clapping only to drop it seeing her walking towards him, âWhat are you here to berate me like Shiro?â Stopping, having never seen this side of him Acxa moved her hands from her sides to holding them across her stomach, âWhat? No! We were supposed to go for a ride in Black an hour ago for patrol.â Keithâs scowl dropped immediately and looked down, âSorry.â
up placing a hand on his already tense shoulders which seemed to relax from her touch, âItâs alright, I heard of your briefing. If you want to vent we can spar. Get your frustrations out on something living⊠rather than training drones, Galra toddlers can take out.â Keith looked up at her a little puzzled and looked down softly saying, âBut I donât want to hurt you.â She stripped her armor off down to her jumpsuit, âThatâs sweet and allâŠâ She grabbed him and flipped him on to his back, âBut you should know I am a bit tougher than I look.â
Keith gave her an âitâs on!â look before jumping up. The 2 of them sparred and play fought for hours, seeming to motivate each other to push further and further. They eventually got so tired that they staggered like drunk tired people trying to walk, before collapsing next to each other. They grabbed each otherâs hands and stroked each otherâs hands as Keith finally opened up to her on what was bothering him. Which prompted her to open up on her treatment as a Galra hybrid continuing their bonding. Eventually talking about their lives on their homeworlds, their scars, their lives before the war.

KACXA WEEK DAY 7
Title: Better for the Bruises
Read on FF.NET
Summary: While the other paladins worry about the intense nature of Keith and Acxaâs sparring sessions, Hunk decides that he would like to continue his training in the Galra style.
Kacxa Week Day 7: Sparring and Bonding
The sun was at its highest and brightest when two hover bikes came rolling into the Garrisonâs front entrance. The bikes slowed down and came to a complete stop. Acxa gracefully climbed off the hover bike but still holding onto Keith for balance
âThanks for coming with us.â Keith said giving a slight smile. âAnytime.â Acxa replied and handed him the helmet she had borrowed for the ride.
Keith opened his mouth to say something but before he could, one of the Garrison Cadets ran outside in a hurry.
âAcxa! Pidge is in need of your help with assisting in the repair of the Atlas.â The boy stated. Keith watched as Acxa nodded and looked over at him as to say bye.
âWhy canât Hunk help instead?â He suddenly thought out loud and his eyes widened that he actually said it.
The cadet glanced at Keith wondering why he would say that. âHunk went with Romelle and Shay.â He answered. âWhere?â Keith asked but the cadet just shrugged. âIâll see you later Keith.â With that said, Acxa followed the cadet into the Garrison leaving Keith with his mother.
âWhat got into you?â Krolia asked placing a hand on her sonâs shoulder. âDonât ask.â Keith grumbled and went inside to his dorm. He wouldnât have gone back if he knew his roommate was going to be there.
âWhere were you all morning?â Lance asked right away looking up from his âHeroâs of Spaceâ magazine which conveniently had Lover boy Lance on the cover.
âNone of your business.â Keith replied while sorting through some stuff on his bed. Lance gave him a look. âCome on, you can tell me.â He said smirking a little.
âI was with Krolia if you really wanted to know.â Keith answered with his back facing the Cuban.
âJust your space mom? No one elseee?â Lance questioned, more interested in this conversation then the magazine. âNope.â Keith replied nonchalant.
âSo Acxa just happened to be gone the same time and returned at the same time? Admit it Keith! You like spending time with her!â Lance pointed out.
âLanceâŠwait how did you know she was back?Keith questioned. âMatt texted me but thatâs not important. Admit it Keith!â Lance said again not letting it go. âFine! I like spending time with Acxa!â Keith turned around and shouted.
There. Keith had given in to Lance. Ever since Acxa had arrived on Earth, He would ask questions about her. Keith didnât know why it bothered him so much as he was almost dating Allura. If Acxa and Keith causally walked into each other, or had a sparring match, even if they agreed on the same thing at briefings, Lance was always there to see it and annoy Keith about it later. But somehow admitting to Lance he liked spending time with Acxa felt like a betrayal to his loner self. Heck he hasnât even admitted that to himself and yet he just told Lance..
His friend knew it was a big deal to have Keith admit that. He was the loner of the group and he never wanted to hand around anyone. So now that he did..
Acxa had found Pidge pretty easily considering she hadnât been at the Garrison for very long and the cadet pretty much showed her the way. Pidge was grateful for an extra hand since Hunk ran away to do who knows what a few hours ago.
Pidge already had a list of stuff Acxa needed to do. After a hour or so of none stop working Pidge and Acxa were done for the day and were ready to head to the mess hall where dinner was about to be served.
âWhat where you up to today?â Pidge asked genuinely interested while the two walked down the corridor.
âThis morning I was doing drills, then Keith asked if I would come with him to his fatherâs grave.â Acxa answered and looked at Pidge. She seemed a little taken back. âKeith. The loner, asked you to go with him to his fathers grave?!â Pidge said acting like she couldnât believe it. Acxa just nodded her head. âIs there something wrong?â
âItâs just that.. Keith has never done that. He
never asked anyone to go with him anywhere. Must be pretty special.â Pidge exclaimed and mumbled the last part but before Acxa could comment Pidge took off for the already long line of people waiting for their food.
Acxa stood there remembering what Pidge had said just a tick ago. âMust be pretty special.â What did she mean? Acxa was about to join Pidge again along with Allura who was already waiting in line but she saw Keith. He eyed her but didnât wave or smile at her. Acxa narrowed her eyes in confusion. First Pidge said she must be special to him yet he didnât even make eye contact. Had leaving him outside made him upset at her? She didnât know.
Later that night, Keith couldnât sleep. He tossed and turned, flipped his pillow over, removed his covers, put them back on. He couldnât shake that feeling he had about actually liking spending time with Acxa. It was driving him crazy. He wasnât like that.. He was the loner. Thatâs the way it has always been. Keith opened his eyes and adjusted to the darkness, well almost darkness because of Lanceâs nightlight. He stood up, pulled a shirt over his top half and left his dorm. The hallway was lightly lit so at least he could see where he was going. Keith wondered around eventually finding the training arena. He thought a little practice
couldnât hurt, no one could bother him too. And it would get his mind focused on something other then.. that.
Acxa should have been sleeping but she wasnât. She figured getting a glass of water might help her sleep. Acxa had woken up from a war nightmare, Something that had been happening for awhile but hadnât told anyone. She could handle it herself anyways. Deciding the water didnât help her feel sleepy in any way, in fact she was more awake then before, Acxa explored the Garrison. She walked past the gym, offices, the hangers and stumbled upon the training arena. Just one round of training wouldnât hurt..
She opened the door but was greeted by someone else having the same idea. Acxa saw Keith head to head with a robot. She didnât think anyone would be up at this time, Acxa quickly turned around and tried to leave but Keith called her name. She knew she had been caught.
âAcxa?â Keith asked breathing heavy. âWhat are you doing up.â Acxa turned around to face him. âI could ask you the same thing.â She replied crossing her arms remembering she wasnât in her armor but lucky for her, Keith didnât notice.
âI couldnât sleep.â He stated. âAnd you decided to fight a robot?â Acxa asked almost laughing. âWell you had the same idea.â Keith chuckled. âMaybe.â Acxa smiled slightly.
âSince youâre here, You want to spar with me?â He asked. Acxa didnât say yes or no, just âPrepare to lose Paladin.â
Keith and Acxa took their place and began to throw punches at one another. Keith went easy on her, as did she and they both knew it.
âKeith, I can handle it. I was a Galra General you know.â Acxa told him but Keith still used the same power in every punch or kick he did. âI know, but you arenât fooling me Acxa, I know you can fight harder then this too.â He replied. Acxa smirked at him, yes she could. And thatâs exactly how she would win. Keith assumed that she would keep missing him on purpose but when Keith was distracted by her fists, she used her leg to trip him and he fell to the floor. Acxa stepped on him with her foot. âFine you win.â Keith mumbled upset. Acxa reached her hand out to help him up and went to sit on the sideline benches to rest.
âYou know, Pidge was wrong when she called you the loner.â Acxa said as Keith looked at her. âWhat do you mean?â âI always see you with someone. Krolia, Lance, Hunk, Cosmo, even Iâm with you a lot. I donât think Pidge got the loner part right.â
âThatâs not the wolfâs name, and Pidge did get it right. I have always been a loner. My mother left me when I was a baby, then my dad died. I felt lost, I had no one growing up, but that changed when I met Shiro. He gave me the love I didnât know I needed. The guys and Pidge, they are like family to me now but they werenât always.â Keith explained looking down at the floor.
âMy parents died because of the war, Lotor took me in soon after, along with Narti, Ezor and Zethrid. They became my family again, but I lost them too. Iâm not meant to belong to one I guess.â Acxa said taking a deep breathe.
âDonât say that Acxa, You have us and me now. Always.â Keith whispered. Acxa looked at him, He could tell she was grateful for his words but still sad.
âDonât say things you canât be sure of Keith.â âAcxa⊠You are apart of Voltron now, and you forever will be.â Keith said smiling a little.
âWhat if I am needed someone else? What if I am gone for a long time and you replace me? What if you forget about me?â âAcxa, I could never forget you. After all I did save your life more then once.â Acxa smiled. âDonât you forget about all the times I saved yours.â
Keith smiled at her, a actually full smile. He leaned closer to her, placing his hand on hers. âI like spending time with you Acxa.â He whispered. Acxa looked at him. âI do too Keith, Letâs do this more often. Good night.â She said and kissed him on the cheek and left, leaving Keith alone. âNo wonder Lance is happy all the time.â Keith thought.
KACXA WEEK DAY 6
Title: A Splash of Loyalty
Read on FF.NET
Summary:Â The cosmic wolf looked at Acxa with a seemingly innocent expression, but she knew about his mischievous side. After all, he had just teleported them both into a pool of freezing water, in the middle of an uninhabited planet.
Kacxa week - Day 6: Cosmic wolf bath
a/n: you can blame my dog for the inspiration for this fic.
Kosmo was not fond of bath time. It was a workout chasing him around the room, and with his ability to transport himself, good luck trying to keep him in the tub long enough to reach for the shampoo bottle. Â He liked being brushed out though. Â It kept his coat soft and shiny. Â Rain showers became mini baths but he couldnât resist flopping around in the mud puddles. Â Keith finally accepted that the battle that was bath day would never end.
After a long day of training Acxa was sore and exhausted, the quick shower in the gym might have removed the itchy grit of sweat that her workout had left behind, but her aching body needed something more.  The siren song of a hot shower had been calling her name, but she decided that maybe a soak in the tub might be more beneficial, and with Keith running orientation for new recruits, sheâd have the solitude to enjoy a long soak.  Little pleasures like this were rare and something sheâd picked up since arriving to Earth. Before sheâd always taken cold showers or soaked in ice to dull the pain away. Â
Grabbing a scented bottle of shower gel, she poured a steady amount underneath the spout and made sure the water temperature wasnât hot enough to scald, but pleasant enough to soothe the soreness out of her muscles. Â Deciding to head back to their bedroom and grab a change of clothes while the water ran, she stopped by the little fridge that was in their room to quickly down a glass of juice. Â
Acxa pulled the long sleeved tee over her head and stopped at the sound of water sloshing out of the tub. Â Surely it couldnât have overflowed that quickly?
She rushed back into the bathroom to see the luxurious bubbles, and Kosmo trying to eat at them from his place in the tub. Â
âHey! That was my bath!â She exclaimed, placing her hands on her hips. Â The wolf looked back at her, fur slicked back and a toothy smile to his muzzle. She giggled as the wolf stuck his nose back into the small mountain of bubbles. Shutting off the flow of water, she was pleasantly surprised to see that heâd not yet teleported away. Â Slowly rubbing the soapy water into his fur, she continued to scrub at his coat. âWell, seeing as youâve got your fur in my bath, might as well get you clean, huh buddy?â
âHey! Kosmo lets you bathe him?â Keith asked astounded at the sight before him.
âThis is the first time. Â He jumped into my bath water while I was grabbing my clothes. Bath thief.â She replied, glancing up at him as she rinsed the suds from his fur. Â Kosmo jumped out of the bath, before shaking the moisture from his fur, flinging water all over. Â
âWell, at least we know he likes bubble baths.â
Kacxa-Week 2018: Day 6 Cosmic Wolf Bath
Had this one planned since the prompts were decided, it practically wrote itself. I also had some real fun writing this. I pictured Keithâs wolf would be an excellent doggy play date for Laika :D I also based some of this off of some wolf knowledge I learned over the years - that they Loooooooooove to roll in some of the foulest smelling stuff in the wild. Also based this off this one time I took my Golden Retriever to a lacrosse game after giving her a bath only to have to give her a bath after the game when I got home because she rolled in mud and muddy water. I hope you enjoy it :)Â
Keith was sitting on the porch of a cottage he and Acxa went to get away from the garrison when they needed time away from everyone during shore leave. Well, it was a cottage that the Paladins shared, but their time at the cottage was alternated. This week it was Keithâs turn, and boy was he lonely.
Acxa was paying the warden a visit to Beta-Traz a visit. Apparently, he and Acxa use to be frienemies from their early days in the Imperial Academy. She also took Keithâs wolf as a little play date for Laika, so for once in nearly 5-6 years Keith was all by himself. Something he thought he missed but missed his mate and fur-baby.
He got up as he saw a garrison pod similar to the Altean pods coming towards the cottage. Acxa was the first to get out of the pod and greeted Keith with a deep and passionate kiss. When Keith asked about his wolf she pointed with her thumb, âHe is in the back.â He raised an eyebrow âWhyyyyy?â Acxa had an amused look on her face, âHe and Laika had a grand time playing with each other⊠destroying Sentries and Drones⊠â Sensing more, âAnd?â
Acxa typed some buttons and walked around the pod with her lover. Her face tensed a little when she saw his eyes bug out, âHe had a little too much fun and rolled in the blood of Sentries (Galra equivalent of oil).â The whole back of the pod was covered in the stuff, stuff Keith surmised the Garrison Brass would not be happy to see spattered and smeared all over their pod. To add insult to injury the stuff covering the wolf smelt worse than a road kill skunk baking for 5 days in the Texas heat, âAlright.â Was all he said knowing he and baby-boy were in for a fight, but Keith love the sweet innocent look on his face.
About an hour and 40 minutes later Keith finally manages to get the wolf into the bath container with Acxa in a swimsuit lathering him. Both he and Acxa tried to wrangle him to the tub. He tried bribing with venison flavored treats. He even swallowed his pride and tried picking up his filthy smelly wolf. Nothing worked until the wolf saw âDaddyâ rinsing the stuff off of his body in the outside bath container. The wolf cautiously walked over and stuck his head in the tub and got in sticking his head in the water to blow bubbles.
When he was all lathered up he gave a pathetic look as if to say âWhy mommy? Why daddy?â But when they went to rinse the wolf disappeared. Keith went to grab him but he vanished. Acxa when to grab his collar, but again he disappeared. The 2 of them tried to catch him for an additional half hour until Keith had an idea.
He ended up wrapping a blindfold around his wolfâs eyes. With Acxa placing a firm grip over the eyes to keep it in place, he then hoisted the wolf up (nearly throwing his back out lifting the nearly 250-pound wolf) and walked towards the water with him struggling in Keithâs arms. The struggle was an epic one to win with a struggling soapy wolf, but he eventually walked chest deep. Keith then turned around and fell backward into the water.
Rinsing the soap off, but the blindfold also came off and the wolf flashed. Standing up he saw the wolf reappear above mommy with a bunch of water he had taken with him, before disappearing again. Acxa screamed at the coldness of the water falling on her like a crashing wave. She gave a not so âhappy mommy lookâ to Keith who couldnât help but laugh when he cleared his long bangs out of his face.
Acxa waited until he was knee deep before pushing him down in the water. She turned around to grab a towel to dry the wolf and stifled a laugh. Keith surfaced again and walked ashore, looking at Acxa who had a hand over her mouth and an amused look on her face.
He followed her gaze and was not amused. His wolf rolling in a massive mud puddle for Hunkâs pigs, that he had installed for when he was up here. The wolf looked like he was having a grand ole time getting mud on every inch of his body, wagging his tail with an amused and proud look on his face. He shook his body sending mud towards them before sitting down in the mud with his proud looking smile on his face and started rolling again grunting and groaning. âOh SON OF A BITâŠâ
Kacxa-Week 2018: Day 5 Quiet/Tender Moment in Chaos
I know its about 30 minutes late but this is my submission for Kacxa-Week Day 5. Computer problems. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it.Â
Now time to start working on todayâs prompt. I am going to have some fun with this one.
They were separated from their respective units when trying to liberate a planet they were on. Something had gone horribly wrong. Either the intel was false or someone had ratted them out to allies still loyal to the Empire. The ensuing ground battle was absolute chaos.
Keith and Acxa were separated from the group, lost and wandering in enemy territory. With a few of the paladins, Keithâs wolf, and few accompanying blades were injured having to withdraw leaving the 2 of them. Something that was hard to do, but they had to do. Without the Lions or Atlas or the MFEs as any backup, the Paladins were greatly outnumbered 400 to 13 with the numbers increasing against them.
It was nightfall and both needed to find shelter to survive the night. With the exception of his bayard and the jumpsuit, Keith got rid of almost all of his white and red armor that made him stand out as a Paladin of Voltron. Even Acxa shed her armor, reluctantly but knew she had to to survive the night. They saw what looked like a cave about 3 miles from where they got separated from the rest o the team and felt it was their best bet to get to it and hide. They just had to get to it first.
In their crossing of enemy territory, Acxa grew exceedingly worried and practically huddled up to Keithâs back everytime he stopped. He remembered she had said she had to tell him something but then everything in the mission had gone to shit. They got separated from friendly forces and the thing she had to tell him was put on the back burner.
What would have taken them a brisk half hour walk took them nearly 4 hours to reach the cave-like structure. Both husband and wife were exhausted from the grueling slog to get to it, from the countless detours, sprints, scuffles in which the opposing soldier was silenced and even more detours but they had made it. They cautiously entered the cave-like structure with her blaster at the ready and his bayard poised with his hand to his back ready to use his blade and ascertained that it was an abandoned military lookout.
Keith was the first to be on watch, with his Blade of Marmora knife at the ready. He watched in silence as bombs from the thermite bombs started to fall from the sky. It seemed the enemy was bombing their own city to eradicate the 2 left behind. Something he heard Acxa say was a standard tactic of those who once fought against the empire.
She walked over to him and stood against him as he wrapped an arm around her right arm. Resting his forearm against her chest he placed a hand on her shoulder and continued to watch the carnage with increased worrying as they seemed to get closer. Only when she placed a hand on him did he snap out of the carnage. He looked at her, she had her eyes closed enjoying his presence against her, enjoying the sound his heart made.
He asked her what she wanted to tell him, to which she simply moved his hand across her chest and down to her stomach and held it there. Just the gesture itself spoke volumes to him. She cautiously turned around to face him, still holding his hand to her stomach looking into his eyes with a look he never had seen before, fear.
He took his free hand cupping her face and gave her kiss. A kiss of absolute love and devotion. A kiss of reassurance that they will get out of there. They continued to kiss as the bombing intensified and coalition fighters came erupting from the skies and an ensuing dogfight for dominance raged, His hand never leaving her stomach. They eventually fell asleep in each otherâs arms.
Nearly 12 hours later they were discovered as ground forces continued to fight for supremacy. Acxa was laying against him, her arms wrapped around his torso. He had a hand stroking her stomach in a soft motion. In his other hand was his Blade of Marmora knife, waiting to lash out at whoever found them. The forces that did find them automatically set up a perimeter guarding them. Keith sturred a little and released his blade seeing a familiar yellow and green helmet. As the blade reverted back to a knife, he turned and wrapped his other arm around his wife. He barely heard someone in his sleepy haze yell âincoming forces!â
