Hi! Couple questions regarding writer apps; do you have a word limit for pieces in applications, and also, is shipping allowed? Sorry if I missed the answers to these already!

1. It helps us more if you keep it within the specified 1k-2.9k so that we can gauge your ability to tell a complete story within the zine’s actual word limit. 

2. Shipping is allowed! But! We do not want this to a shipping heavy zine as that’s not the purpose of this particular zine; we also will not accept any smut as we’re working at a pretty strict PG-13 for the zine.

Concerning your list of aus-- would this include shows that fit in the setting of any of these aus, i.e. Berserk crossover as a Medieval AU? (Sorry for the awkward wording I gave up rewriting it to clarify)

We wouldn’t mind it if the author can keep both the characterization of everyone in Voltron as well as the universe you’re applying them to intact. However, we would prefer more original works overall to give a more diverse spread throughout the zine. And if you apply and get accepted, definitely come talk to us and we can work things out on a case by case basis. Mod Pidge

In a previous ask, it was mentioned that more AUs will be added to the list in the "About Us" section nearer to the time that applications open and that about a fifth of the AUs were already there. However, I looked in the section and when I went to the link that says it's for the list of AUs, it doesn't seem to be leading to anything...? I was wondering if I was just looking in the wrong place (in which case, may I be directed to the right place to find the list?), or if it just isn't there?

So, it seemed that the link malfunctioned and was some random code replaced it which is why it wasn’t showing up, but! I just fixed the link and double checked to make sure things were back in order so everyone should be able to click the link in our about and see the AU list! If you have any further issues, please feel free to direct message us!

hi! i know apps are still quite a bit until it opens/closes but just been wondering but if someone was to like get accepted into this zine , the aus that they want to draw doesnt have to be only limited to the one listed in the about section right? like, are the participants allowed to come up with their own original au?

Hi! No, we have a lot of aus that we will be listing closer to when participant applications open! The list in the about is about a…fifth of the ones we actually have? So you will have a long list to choose from when it comes to applications!

Edit: Also, yes! If you have an AU that you personally really want to do, feel free to come ask us about it! We have a ton of options, but if there’s a brainchild you’ve had for a while we can totally hear you out!

*already feeling the regret that I didn't apply to be a mod* shhhhhh, you know you'd be too busy and end up overwhelmed within the month

It’s alright! There will definitely be other ways you can help support us such as reblogging our posts and getting the word out! Also, if you’d like to apply to be an artist or writer, those applications open on October 10th!

Will artists be able to apply with pieces that haven't been published yet (through, say, a google drive link?) or do you prefer published works?

Unpublished works is perfectly fine with all the mods! So long as your art is quality, unpublished or published application pieces are alright!

*nervous gay laughter™* so,,, I applied after weeks of indecision, but if in the future, I felt the need to drop out, y'all wouldn't... Like, freak out, right?

If you’re accepted as a mod and then down the line feel that you’re overwhelmed/busy/etc, we’d rather you let us know earlier on in the project than towards the end when things are really stressful and we need all hands on deck. But, otherwise, it wouldn’t be an issue!
