Tim approached Mary, he had wanted a second opinion but all his siblings had been busy. Except for Tom of coarse, but this was a surprise for him. “I have a question” Tim said holding the two masks to his chest securely. “What is it?” Mary replied in a confused manner. Tim showed her the masks proudly, they were some of his best work. “If I were to let Tom pick one do you think he’ll like it mama?” He asked, which surprised Mary, it was times like this that made her truly question if the twins were that evil. “I’m sure he will love it dear” she said, a gentle smile traced across her face as Tim beamed with happiness. “I’ll go let him pick one out then!” He said “thank you mama!” He ran off to the river, he knew Tom was there, it was his favorite spot after all.
As Tim approached the river Tom was on the bridge. He looked over at Tim and smiled before waving, however it was a grave mistake. He had been leaning too far over and when his hand left the railing….
Tim saw the large splash and booked it as fast as possible. Tom had never learned to swim due to his medical issues, he also had problems holding his breath for a long time.
Tim dropped the masks on the ground by the riverbank and didn’t hesitate to get in the water. He dragged Tom out of the water, but it was already too late. Tom wasn’t breathing anymore, as Tim gained that realization he choked back a sob. “Tom? S-say something…. C-c’mon bro… I-I know your alive… j-just wake up..!” He said laying Toms head in his lap. “I-I made you something..! L-look!” He grabbed the masks “pick one…! T-Tom please….” He put the sad mask on toms face, “l-like it? S-see? They match..!” He put the happy mask on his own face. Lillian went to see what the choked back sobs and talking was about, when she saw them her heart dropped “b-big brother…?” She squeaked out before running to Mary to tell her the situation. When Mary came Tim was sobbing loudly and begging Tom to wake up. Mary checked Toms pulse, she felt nothing. “T-Tim I’m so sorry… he’s gone” she said. Tim glared daggers at her. “NO HE ISNT!” He barked before hugging toms body close and pulling out a pocket knife. Mary knew this was going to lead to something very bad. It was only a matter of time…..
