"Elio? You okay? We can stop if you need to rest for a bit!!"

“I - I’m okay.” No he wasn’t, his chest hurt and his legs felt weaker than usual. Yet he refused to let Hau know this. He wanted to walk around with him, explore a bit.. Not sit in bed because his body decided to hate him today.

“L - lets keep going! We will r - reach the top eventually!”

Hau watches his friend with concern, noting the wobbling of his legs and his shortness of breath. He really did seem tired- but for some reason it seemed like Elio didn't want him to know. He sits down on the ground for a moment, slipping his bag over his shoulder and pulling out some malasadas.

"Man, I'm starved! You want a Malasada?" Well, he wanted to act with some of his usual behaviors so that Elio wouldn't get upset- they could keep going later.

He’s going to keep on that, isn’t he? Aw, damn. “Oh hush.” Despite his harshness, it melts away as soon at Hau agrees with him and he leans into his embrace, his own arms wrapping around his form as well. “Mmm…you’re such a jerk,” he mumbles with utmost affection. There’s a comfortable silence before he smiles to himself and teases Hau in the same manner he had been prior, “I have the best husband.”

“I don’t wanna.” Hau argues playfully, keeping close to Gladion. For someone with such cold hands, he could be awfully warm. This thought just makes him smile more. “Still not a big grump like you.” he says in response. “No, I do!”

Great, now everyone is going to think they’re getting married. Not that it’s bad – by no means is it. He wants to spend his life with Hau, but…ugh. He’s such a jerk, teasing him like this. A lovable one, though.

“Tsk. We’ve been together so long now, we pretty much are married at this point.” And cue the edge lord folding his arms. Typical Gladion. “But I do want to…someday.” And the look on his face the day that comes will be even more worth it.

All part of the plan. Hau liked seeing Gladion embarrassed- it was something that he knew to get out of him well, and really it only took so much. Hau smiles, and nods. They pretty much were, that was true. “But we aren’t!” Yes, he’s going to stay on that, Gladion. No way to change that.

“Yeah... Me too...” Despite his arms being crossed, Hau throws his own arms around him, embracing him tightly.

“Never said that, love,” he teases, smirking at the other as he levels with him. Poor guy is a disaster this way, but he’s still endearing as ever. And Gladion can’t help but to have a little fun with him when he’s this way.

His breath catches in his throat momentarily, not expecting the other to touch his lips like this. That’s…something. Before he can comprehend everything, Hau takes the next move as well, pressing his lips to Gladion’s. The taste of coconut rum is strong ( maybe a hint of malasada ) and the abruptness of it all elicits a moan. Dammit – isn’t he supposed to be the one in control here?

Without that grip of one hand still at the arm of the chair, Hau might have lost his footing. He tries to move even closer, after all, for obvious reasons, and slips a bit. His lips move clumsily against Gladion's at that moment- but he doesn't like that- those aren't the feelings he wants to convey. But that sound from Gladion was sure reassuring.

"Mm... I don't like yur chair...."

He mumbles, trying to find a way to comfortably sit with him. Dang, it was hard to find a way for that right now. He pouts. Just his luck! He wanted to just spend time with Gladion, but he couldn’t get comfortable here.
