"Game of what exactly?"
"Lacrosse."
"Sounds like it. I’m sure it was entertaining to watch."
"It was, it was hilarious. You've got to come and watch some of these games sometime."
"Ahh so you’re the party king? I’ll look forward to seeing if thats true"
"You're doubting me.."
"Oh.. no-one"
"So.. how did you enjoy your first time being high? did you whitey?"
"What makes you think that was my first time? You don't become Rosewood's party king without having smoked a joint before."
Playing for the wrong team || Noel and Dex
Dex was up in his room studying for a test that he was almost destined to fail. Like fate had a big red cross on it’s face and for him to have zero chance of passing. But through all that, he always hate a positive outlook on thing. No matter how weird, big or small things seemed. “Yeah, I’m coming. One sec” He said as he finishes a maths equation before putting his pencil down on the desk and running to the front door. It was just him home, his parents always working late nights.
Dex opens the door to see his best friend, but before he even get a word out of his mouth, Noel’s warm hand were already on his face, pulling him towards him. As soon as hits lips hit his best friends, he automatically let his eyes full shut but his hand move to his shoulder to kind of push him off but to be honest with himself, it wasn’t all bad. Even so, he started to push back on Noel’s lips. Yes, confusion hit him in the face like a wrecking ball to a building, but he figured it was a spur of the moment thing. It didn’t mean anything.
Noel felt Dex attempt to push him off but he knew how much he had to do this and just wouldn't budge no matter how much he had wanted. He tried to imagine he was kissing anyone but Dex but even imagining the hottest girl in the world wouldn't shake the fact from his mind that he was kissing Dex. After the ten seconds, that in all honesty felt like ten minutes, were up he didn't want to carry on any longer than he had to so as soon as the mark was reached he instantly pulled away from the boys surprisingly soft lips.
He had no idea what to say or do next. He could sense the other guys confusion but he couldn't tell him why he did that. His best move was a quick escape and hope it was late enough that Dex thought he was imagining it even though that was highly unlikely. "Thanks man, you're a good friend," he said with a slight nod before he went to make his get away.
Playing for the wrong team || Noel and Dex
"C'mon, Noel, you can do it," the dark haired boy said to himself as he sat in the drivers seat of his car that was parked right outside Dex's house. His best friends. The guy A was making him kiss. The guy he had to kiss. Noel wasn't a homophobe nor was he anywhere near being gay, it was just the idea of having to kiss his best friend because the towns villian was blackmailing him made him seriously uncomfortable. He knew Dex was a pretty understanding guy and that if it had to be any guy I guess Noel was glad it was him but he just wasn't ready for the awkwardness that was inevitable afterwards.
After five minutes of waiting the boy made his way out of the car and up to the door. Knocking twice he stood there for what felt like forever until the door opened. As soon as he saw Dex there he knew prolonging it would make him back out so he didn't wait around and grabbed the guys face and pulled him in. Ten seconds was all that A asked and as every second went on he felt more and more awkward but he knew he had to do it - there was no way he was letting A expose him - and he just hoped the the blonde boy wouldn't push him away before the time was up.
"Dude, I swear people are going to end up with brain damage if they keep hitting each other. I’m sure they school won’t want trips to the hospital. Nor would anyone else"
"But it was so funny. I swear dude, you have to join lacrosse. Given how much crap that goes down in this town a few mid-game fights are nothing compared to the stuff the girls get up to."
"Oh sorry - I mistook you for somebody else"
"Who could you have possibly mistaken me for?"
"And I swear to god he laid him out in just one punch. It was the most interesting game we've had in pretty much forever."
New Romantics- Noel & Mona.
Mona smiled at him as she rolled her eyes playfully. “Is that so? Well, you can your fabulous reputation and you’re apology. Are you happy now?” She asked him as she finished off her coffee and set her empty cup down on the table. I mean sure, dating Noel did give her a boost in popularity along with her new and improved look. But whether Alison was back or not she was not going to lose her spot at the top. Taking a deep breath, Mona narrowed her eyes on Noel. “So, what does this all mean? Are we on decent terms now?” She asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Extremely. I might even go as far as saying you've made my day," he told her with a slight nod of his head. The boy sharply sucked in air between his teeth, unsure of what to say. "I don't know," he said running his hand through his dark hair. "I guess so? Despite your whole nerd deal it's not like being on good terms with you is going to hurt. Although it does require you acknowledging me every time you walk past me in the halls, if you can handle that."
"I know, it’s terrible. We wouldn’t want them to start thinking that there are smart cheerleaders, would we?"
"I’m trying to make a dress, but all I’m doing right now is trying not to strangle my sewing machine. Guess it’s not as easy as it looks."
"God, smart cheerleaders? Then what, smart football players? We can't have that, I don't think the world could handle it."
"You do know that there are people who can make one for you, right? Like people whose job it is to do it."
God, fine. The doctor just dumped me, okay? No more meds for me.
Oh. That sucks... Well, If it makes it any better I never liked that guy anyway.
New Romantics- Noel & Mona.
Mona listened to Noel speak and couldn’t help but smile after he was done. Shaking her head some she took a deep breath as she chewed on her bottom lip. “Your secret is safe with me. Now that is the Noel I know.” She told him with a small smile as she wrapped her hands back around her coffee. Now it only seemed fitting for Mona to say sorry for her bitchy ways. Biting her lip she looked down at the table, “I’m sorry also… for being a complete terror at times. You didn’t really deserve that.” She admitted, looking up at him. “You can’t tell anyone I said that because I also, am a jerk.” She said with a smirk.
"Not going to lie," Noel said as he lent forward, "I only said that to see if I could get one out of you. And yes, you are a total jerk," he smirked playfully. "But you really didn't need to apologize. You were a complete terror, can't deny that, but it was always fun; you kept me on my toes, I liked that. Plus dating the hottest girl in school back then really did boost my rep as well, so.. you know. "
Uh, nothing. Allergies. My meds make me ramble even more than usual.
Oh. You'd think dating a doctor you'd get decent medication, guess not.
New Romantics- Noel & Mona.
Widening her eyes, Mona looked over at Noel in shock. Either hell had frozen over…. or hell had frozen over. “Wait, you want to say sorry? Oh, this is great.” She told him as she leaned forward making her attention fully on him. It was not everyday that Noel Kahn said sorry to you. Especially after leaving you. And for jenna? Mona rolled her eyes at the thought before keeping her eyes back on the dark haired male across from her. “This isn’t come prank right? Like we aren’t on Punk’d or something, right?” She asked, jokingly looking around before cracking a smile as she brought her coffee cup up to her lips once more. Staring down at the red lipstick stain she licked her lips briefly before sitting back in her chair. “Well, Thank you for wanting to apologize. I didn’t know if I would ever hear that come out of your mouth.”
Noel rubbed the back of his neck nervously and looked down at his hands cupping his drink. Apologizing wasn't something he does or actually has ever done seeing as the boy never really thought of himself being in the wrong before. "Well I don't exactly want to especially if you're acting as if you found out pigs can fly. But, uh, yeah, I didn't think it would say either but I kind of started to feel bad about the way things ended between us so I'm sorry. There, said it, done," he said looking back up to the girl with a sigh of relief shooting out of his body and the uncomfortable expression on his face gone. "Although you can't tell anyone I just did that because it would completely ruin this whole jerk persona that I've perfected," he joked.
"So true. And yet here I am, reading ‘The Sewing Machine Classroom’. Scandalous, right?"
"Extremely. You should be careful before all the little freshman walking about see this and think it's cool. You wouldn't to turn this boring little activity into a trend. Why are you reading that?"
New Romantics- Noel & Mona.
Mona took what he was saying into serious consideration. She would be lying if she said it didn’t bore her at times. But, it came easy to her so she tried her best in everything that she did. “It does it boring. But, Im good at being smart. It’s really the only thing that I’ve ever been good at.” She told him with a slight shrug. Being popular wasn’t something she was good at until Alison was gone, and neither was making friends. “I’ve always been good at keeping my nose in a book.” She said, faking a smile as she looked down at her coffee cup. Pulling her eyes back up to Noel, she laughed some under her breath. “Well, thank you for being a person for once.” She told him as she took a deep breath, “I don’t know..” She admitted as she scanned the room quickly before turning her attention back to Noel. “You’ve been the one person that hasn’t been so easy to get over. And don’t get big headed about that.” She snapped at him almost instantly as she rolled her eyes some, taking another sip of her coffee.
The dark haired boy didn't believe what she was saying in the slightest. "Okay come on, I know and you know that that's not true. You're good at a tonne of stuff," he reassured her with a soft smile. Noel leaned forward in his chair to place a gripped hand around his drink, taking his eyes off the girl for a second to watch it. He let out a small half-hearted laugh at her comment before looking back up to her. "You're more than welcome, I like to pick the right time and place for my human side to appear." A genuine smile started to appear on his face, either she knew him too well or he was just too predictable nowadays. "I'll try but it's hard not to after hearing you say something like that. I always liked to think I was pretty hard to get over so thank you for confirming that," he said with a cocky little grin while he took another sip of his drink. "But while I'm being good guy Noel I do want to apologize to you."
