"I told you not to piss anyone off."
Hans sighed, his head tucked between his legs as he waited for the flow of blood to cease whilst Henry set about gathering clean cloth and soothing potions, heating a fresh pot of water on the stove. The blacksmith had only left the nobleman in charge of the forge whilst he'd run some errands around Kuttenberg.
"It was that fucking cheater," Hans seethed, meeting Henry's gaze when he gently tilted his head back to examine the damage, "you remember? Those outsiders who came in for horseshoes," Henry nodded in acknowledgement, gently dabbing at the bloody mess that was currently Hans' nose. The noble winced, squeezing Henry's arm, "they were the ones who'd ordered that axe," Henry hummed in understanding, "the irritating sulky one stole my groschen."
"Aye and I suppose he punched you for no good reason?" Henry glanced up with a raised eyebrow, barely managing to contain his smile. Hans didn't look at all impressed, rolling his eyes.
"How many times? All I did was compliment his riding cloak." Henry did smile, then; he shouldn't find Hans' pout so adorable but he did, "he offered to patch me up himself. That William didn't like it and dragged him away."
"Killian, wasn't it?" Henry corrected him with a chuckle, rinsing the cloth in the warm water. Hans scoffed, waving a dismissive hand.
"Whatever. It's not my fault that Solus of his is so..."
Hans paused deliberately, allowing a smug smile to spread slowly across his face. Henry lowered the bloody cloth and raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"Oh, so it was like that?" Hans shrugged innocently, teasingly reaching out to toy with the buttons on Henry's shirt. Well, two can play at that game. Henry nodded once, dropping the cloth into the water before he stood.
"I always thought his companion was the attractive one," Henry wondered aloud, tilting his head in thought, "I do like someone who knows their way around a bow."
When he turned around again, Hans was staring with his arms folded, an expression on his face that showed he very much regretted whatever this was he'd started, "alright. You win."
