Of course Kise annoys Aomine. From his bubbly personality to his constant flock of fangirls. But it’s also these same things that makes Kise… engaging.
Seeing as the blond is back to his jovial self, Aomine lets out a brief sigh of relief that he quickly disguises with a muffled yawn. Finding Kise’s smile to be too bright, Aomine averts his gaze elsewhere.
“Don’t push it, dumbass,” the tanned ace grumbles. “And what is this about ‘not playing one-on-ones with just anybody’? You say that so carelessly, as though it hasn’t been years since we last played.”
He's picked up on Aomine's habit of lazily averting his gaze and looking disinterested, but he's still unsure whether or not it's genuine. Either way, he's still here talking to him and bickering like they normally do. Kise frowned at the other's comment on their lack of one-on-ones lately. Aomine was right, it did feel a little strange to bring it up after so many years. However, he felt like the memories of their youth were...almost timeless. As cheesy as it sounds, he wouldn't be able to forget their Teiko days even if he tried.
"Eh? You do have a point there, Aminecchi. But it still feels special for some reason, you know?" His bright smile was replaced with a smirk. "And maybe we should change the fact that it's been years."
