Prim her beloved sister is going into the games! just as bad Rory (gales little brother who is also 12) is now in the reaping, along side Peetaās older brother. When this happens Peetaās reaction to the news is very complex, in the books it appears that he doesn't have a very close relationship with his family, but now his brother is in mortal danger. He wants to do all he can to save him. However he knows in order to do that it will be a the expense of either Rory, or prim. There can only be one victor. So the same training montage happens prim, Rory and Rye (Petaās brothers never get names so I came up with Rye. like rye bread lol) all learn how to hunt a scavenge and get strong. On reaping day Prims name is called. Then Ryes.
Once the games have begun, Katniss is contacted by district 13. They want her to be the mockingjay. She will only agree if 13 saves all the kids in the games, not just Prim and Rye. They agree, but even with 13 help theyāll need more support, so carefully they recruit other victors to the cause.
