bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive.
Forgiving isn’t pretending the hurt never happened.
It’s not forgetting what was done or ignoring the damage it left behind.
Forgiving means laying down your right to pay them back.
It means refusing to let bitterness lock you in chains.
When you forgive, you’re set free just as much as the person you’re forgiving.
It’s one of the clearest ways we show the grace we’ve already been given.
And that’s why Jesus didn’t leave room for half-measures. He called us all the way in.
