“I can just take a blanket and crash on the floor. I don’t wanna put you out or anything,” Kenzi immediately objected, partially because she felt bad and also because just having someone nearby would be really nice in helping to keep her calm. “Washing it off would be good, probably,” she agreed ignoring the question of pain. She’d dealt with it for awhile now and it wouldn’t bother her to deal a little while longer.
Kale shook his head again. Nobody at his place will sleep on the floor, especially somebody who was lost in the woods and returned. “You’ll sleep on the bed. I’ll sleep on the floor. That’s it.” He cut and went back to the water jar and took a clean cloth and a bowl, returning to the other and sitting next to her, putting everything next to him. “You don’t mind?” He asked, wanting her let to know that her sleeves ar in the way to do the procedure properly.
