“As an Afro-Brazilian, Capoeira is very important to me. It has its roots with the West African slaves brought here to Brazil. It was a means for them to learn to defend themselves. Those slaves are my ancestors and I learned Capoeira as a way to honor them. My community has been practicing Capoeira for many generations, so I started learning when I was a boy. It is a beautiful art that catches many people’s eye because it is so graceful and looks a lot like dancing with the music incorporated into it. I teach classes sometimes, so if you’re ever in São Paten, come to Panapaca and see me so I can teach you.

I’m back guys! Feels like I’ve been gone for 100 years. I don’t know how I did it tbh. Here is a selfie of Naiovy <3 Since my Haitu Naiovy turned 18 and graduated high school. She did had to cool it with her Math teacher Leandro for a while cause rumors got around school they was dating. They still talked just kept it low key.
