So I had to make kansastuck a sideblog since you cannot have mods for a primary blog and it seems that even though I gave the password and email to the supposed other admin, I haven’t seen them make any posts or anything.

so i wanted to make a lil mascot guy for the kansastuck facebook group for funsies. i gave him stripey hair because the state insect is the honeybee and his horns are buffalo horns because the state animal is the buffalo. his quirk is all caps and punctuation only at the end of sentences. every letter is capitalized but k, a, n, and s.

Hey, just curious if anyone is planning a trip to Planet Comicon this April?

So my boyfriend and I were thinking about going to nakakon on saturday this year. We've never been to a con before and we're both a little nervous. Are a lot of fans going? We'd really like to meet up with some other homestucks.

Oh, I do hope you can attend. It's a very fun convention, very big too.

I remember last year, when I wasn't in the Homestuck fandom, there were MANY Homestuck cosplayers there all weekend. And of course some I probably didn't spot because they were the kids, most of what I saw was a bunch of trolls and one very tall Gamzee. 

From what I'm seeing with nearby conventions like Motaku and Ahn!Con, I can expect a lot of Homestucks attending. Many from Kansas and Missouri are getting ready for it and there might be others from other states (or who are attending college, going on spring break during that time) that will be there. 

I'm not sure if there's an official meetup time/spot. But I'm sure you'll be able to quickly find new friends and peeps to hang out with.

Winter Storm Warning for Kansas and Missouri!

Hey guys, be careful! A warning for (mostly) Southeastern Kansas and Central Missouri has been issued.

We’re suppose to be getting a LOT more snow. Please be warm and safe. If you don’t have to, don’t leave the house. Pretty much all the area elementary, middle, and high schools in my area already called their students early in the evening, saying school was cancelled for the next day. They’re not playing around with this, especially since it is suppose to be below freezing in many areas. 

Again, please be safe. Be prepared.

Any of you going to Naka-kon?

Naka-Kon is an anime convention being held in Overland Park this year and it's a great one! I've been attending since 2009. It was my first convention and where I make the most friends. 

So far I see a number of KansasStucks and MissouriStucks getting ready to meet up there. What about those of you on tumblr? Are you going? Who are you cosplaying as (Homestuck or not)?

I'm so excited for it!

Yes, yes there are. Quite a few of us. But we're all spread out across this flat and wide state. Which is why you can never find any of us.

Hello there! So while my hometown is in Kansas, I currently attend the University of Arkansas and I've been trying to find an Arkansas-stuck page but I don't seem to be able to find one. Do you know of any? And if not, do you think you could help me start one? Like instruction on how to do the forms and stuff like that? Thanks for your time, I hope you have a wonderful day :)

Anyway, I'm sorry but I have not heard of any Arkansas based homestuck pages here or on Facebook. 

What I did was take a leaf out of MidwesterStuck's book when it comes to forms (although I never made that page, I should). They have forms many can fill out and tag them as such so people can find homestucks in their area. 

And if you're talking about 'forms' on tumblr, like the main stuff you fill out.. Well I just made a separate email account for KansasStuck and then used that to start it as another primary blog for tumblr, so I could follow others and do asks and such. I hope that was enough to help you out, if not let me know and I'll try to explain things better.

Having problems finding a lipstick color for your cosplay? Look no further. I just found someone’s video tutorial on how to make lipsticks out of crayons. In the video she says that she found out that all of her favourite lipsticks had lead and that she found out that she could make lipstick out of lead free crayons. The entire time I was watching this video, I thought that it would work amazingly for someone looking for some cerulean blue lipstick for Vriska or Jade green lipstick for Kanaya or maybe some other cosplay character who has a weird lipstick color. In the video she also says that you could mix crayon colors to make weird colors.

I have not gone to Cosplacon before, but I have talked to many staff members and volunteers at other conventions (such as Naka-kon and Motaku) were always great and nice and answered any and all questions that me or my friends sent their way. 

I will be going in 2013 and I do recommend this convention. I may do a ‘Convention Information’ sheet about them soon! 

Also, go follow them. Great photos! I also recommend browsing the galleries on their website.
