This year was unbelievable I'm still in shock. I got to visit amazing places, achieve unbelievable things and watch my best friends do the same. I consider myself so incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such talented, supportive, and genuine people; without them I certainly would not be dancing today. This year had some heartbreaking moments, but it was also filled with so much joy. Bring on 2018!!

Still think it's all a dream, I don't know what to say besides thank you to every single person that has ever supported me along this crazy rollercoaster that is my dance career
doesn't take much to make these girls beautiful. Hair and makeup for the lovely Sarah Canniff and Mary Kate Stewart of the Kenny Academy
Oh my gosh I’m still pinching myself! New England Oireachtas Champ! I’m so thankful and blessed to have these crazy teachers in my life who constantly push me to dance better than my best. And to the best group of senior ladies and friends a girl could ask for, I’m so proud of each and every one of you. I couldn’t ask to take the stage with a better group of boss women.
And to everyone who has a dream so big it scares the crap out of you, never stop dreaming. It may take longer than you’d like, but just don’t stop, don’t quit, and always ask how you can change up your training to get the results you want. This is my 17th Oireachtas, and 21st year of dancing, and I finally feel like I got my training right. Be patient, trust the process, and it will happen. :)
Loved getting the opportunity to go to Chicago this weekend to see my best friend Meg. Great competition and feeling so ready for oireachtas!!
I have several questions about this. First - were open dresses banned or did you choose the outfit?(I like it, it’s just unusual to see so many of that kind in one picture) Second - why are you all holding boxes ? And third - what was the use of the podium before the feis ? I mean, why didn’t they print the numbers on it when they produced it ?
The feis was a black out feis, more specifically a black and white feis. The dress code specified no costumes (solo and school) and dancers were to wear either black or white shirts/skirts as well as white socks. The awards weren't typical trophies, the bigger boxes were crystal vases and the top 3 got these really cool Celtic knot decorative pieces. The podium is also shared between the two schools that host the back to back feises, one side had the first school's logo on it and the other side had the placements for the second school's feis.
