Audience I communicate to...
Family, Friends, Classmates, Teachers, Doctors....
When I talk to People...
I always use a soft tone that is inviting to everyone. If I need to say something that is negative or may make someone upset. I say it a way that would make someone take what I say in the wrong way. Tone is a very important thing. It can make words seem worse or better than they really are. Choice of words is important as well.
Communication: Past vs Present
In the past, the way I communicated was using only verbal, and non-verbal communication. I did not use electronics to communicate. I used facial expressions, body language, hand gestures etc. I would also ask for my needs/wants using words. In present time I use my cellular devices to communicate electronically. I use my computer, and cell phone more than I use my voice and body language.
#Communication

One of the most sincere forms of respect is actually listening to what another has to say.

My Thoughts on Communication
I like communication and I do it for many reasons. I communicate to express my feelings, reduce stress, make new friends, convey my feelings, gather information from people. In school, I use my device to text other people and research information for my classes and verbally for in class and online learning like right now when the teacher is doing something on the board. The communication ways I use the most is writing, texting, and talking. I am most comfortable with texting because I have more time to think about my answers and if I am shy or sad to say something to someone then I don't have to worry about saying it to there face. You also don't have to worry about awkward situations when you are talking to somebody or have any distractions if your trying to say something important. Texting is also private. I am uncomfortable with talking because talking doesn't give you that special freedom that texting does and you might accidently say something to someone that you don't really mean to there face. Also, when your talking, there could be distractions and you cant actually say what you want to say. I still like talking but I feel more comfortable with texting. Three effective ways to be a better communicator is one, be a good listener. Always take the time and listen to what the person has to say you and not just be there but your not actually paying attention to what is being said. Second, think about what you say before you say it. Some people don't really think before they speak which makes them end up in a bad situation. Always remember that actions speak louder than words and if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all. Lastly, don't be speak long. Don't speak for a very long time to the point where other's cant have there turn to say what they want to say. You will be more respected if you just get straight to the point and not make the other's feel bored and start to not pay attention to what your saying. Doing this will slow the conversation down. Remember that communicating is an important role in our lives. It could even helps us change the world for eg with what is going on the world right now with racisms. There are protests all around the USA for black lives matter because people are actually communicating to one other and using there voices to tell the world that black people are people to and because of that, some of the rules have changed around here from now on. That's a big importance of communication and without it, the world wouldn't have changed for the better. Just be yourself and remember to respect others with not only what you say, but what you do. That's the end of my blog.
