"someone who's down for the manly shit" ...? like another... man... perhaps?
fuck you
what's your idea of the perfect date?
video games
i like someone whos down with the manly shit
if you could go anywhere, and do anything, with anyone, where would you go, and what would you do, with whom?
[ Church. With his grandfather.
So easy to think, so easy to want, want, want, but so hard to say it out loud, to tell the world.
Dave thinks his grandfather was the best person in the world.
That's what he told him when he died. Cold, pale skin, on cold hospital sheets. Dave remembers it all perfectly. ]
miami with azimio
maybe take a few chicks with us
itd be a blast
What do you most hate?
fags
[ It's such a reflex now -- he doesn't even have to think. ]
do you consider yourself a good listener?
no
what do you wish someone would say to you?
[ Dave hesitates over the keys before swallowing hard, unsure of how to answer the question. He wants a lot of things. He wants his mom to say sorry for leaving him... he wants his dad to pay more attention to him. He wants --
He wants Kurt to say, "I forgive you."
The words sound so foreign and idealistic as he imagines them from the other boy's mouth, and though he imagines the moment in his head, it isn't quite the same.
Dave's jaw twitches angrily. He leaves the question unanswered. ]
do you get drunk ever?
whenever azimios feelin it
[ The truth is that Dave tries to wash away everything with the simplest of means: alcohol. He figures if he drinks enough, everything will go away.
It doesn't. But that's a different story. ]
why is it impossible for you to be gay?
because i didnt choose this! i dont WANT to be gay. and if i dont want to be i cant be, thats impossible. i have to want it, i have to CHOOSE it, and i didnt, i didnt want this, i DONT want this.
no, no. you're going to be okay. you are NOT a bad person. there are people who want you around. people who like you, who love you. and you know what? there are always going to be people who care about you no matter what happens. gay or not, people like you.
find me one person who likes me.
id like to know their name and if theyd still like me if i was a fag.
yo, talk to me

Dave doesn’t really expect any company, ever, so when the doorbell chimes for him to answer, he’s left wondering who it is. A sliver of suspicion rises up his throat and he swallows it down. It must be nothing — a lost pizza guy, maybe dad home early — something like that.
Except when Dave opens the door, Brittany stands on the other side of the threshold, all bright eyes and smile.
“I —”
No, what the fuck? This was — oh, God, she had nachos. And in the other box —
Dave doesn’t dare ask. “Uh, Britt…” His whole body feels warm with nausea, sickening embarrassment and fear swelling over his skin. “What exactly is — no, I mean — fuck, what are you doing here?”
“Two person party,” Brittany chirps, inviting herself in and ushering around the bigger boy. “Just you and me, Dave…y!” She observes the interior of Karofsky’s house from what she from this viewpoint. Very normal middle-class. Very Dad’s-the-manager-at-the-local-Verizon-Wireless-Mom’s-a-baby-nurse-esque. Or something.
She turns around on her heel like a ballerina and holds up her arms, plate and box held up high for the world to see. (Well, at least, Karofsky to see.)
“And, of course, cheddar nachos and the whole collection of Boyz N’ Berries!” She ponders for a moment, thinking real hard. “I think that’s a play off boysenberries. Unless, a bunch of Rachel clones are in it.” The blonde’s expression turns sour at the thought and she lowers her arms.
“So, where’s your room, Big D?”
"I --"
Boys 'N Berries? A sick feeling washes through Dave's gut, until it settles in his stomach like poison. She can't have brought -- no, she's stupid, but she isn't...
"Britt, I think I missed the part where I invited you..." Nonetheless, the blonde slips past him into the house, and Dave is left staring helplessly.
How in the fuck --
Okay. Breathe. He swallows thickly. "What is -- why do you have, uh... Boys 'N Berries?"
A single thought flits through his mind as she bounces around on the carpet. Hummel. She knows, of course, she fucking knows. Hummel told her, thinking she was too stupid to keep a secret, too stupid to understand what that meant.
Dave tries to force down the anger that flushes his cheeks. "Whatever Hummel told you, it's a fucking lie."

Brittany found herself in front of the Karofsky family’s house in a manner of minutes. She had always knew where the boy lived since he moved here around the time they were in second grade—her own home was just a block away, walking distance. (Though for reassurance—she could have just have dreamed that, after all, like the time she had dreamed she had met her 12-year-old internet pal from Neopets only to find out she was a middle-aged half-dolphin man in real life (the horror and betrayal!)—she had called up Santana and asked where Karofsky lived, to which the Latina sounded questionable at Brittany’s words, but nevertheless gave her the address.
“6669 Sparkleberry Street.”
“Sooo ADORABLE, S! It fits Karofsky SO WELL!”
So here she was, on the New Directions’ bully’s porch, all giddy and the like. In one hand she held a plate of her mom’s home-made (secretly from Senior Nacho’s Grande Salsa Hut) cheddar nachos, in the other she was carrying an old Build-A-Bear box heavy with the raunchiest of the raunchy gay porn movies. Her and Karofsky’s—or should she call him Dave? Big D? Daveydumplings?—absolute favorite things in the whole wide world. Certainly a grand and exciting adventure awaited her.
She rang the doorbell three times for affect.
