“A fairytale doesn’t exist in a fixed form; it’s something like a tune that can migrate from a symphony to a penny whistle.”

“To guide someone through the halls of hell is not the same as love.”
— Gregory Orr, Orpheus & Eurydice: A Lyric Sequence

i went back to the old farmhouse i lived in when i was a little girl this week. i hadn’t been there in 10 years so being there helped piece back a lot of early childhood memories. no one else had lived there since my family so the only remains that were there were remains from us. i found my dads old work shirt and piles of his log books in a barrel that he was probably going to burn but never got around to it. there were small drawings and math equations and misspelled words scribbled on the walls from my brother and i. it was very weird going back to this house
