Oh. That’s good. If my car broke down, I don’t think I’d have any idea how to fix it. [Melody offers the girl a smile at that, and she thinks it’s impressive she knows how to take care of her own vehicle. Somewhere in the back of her mind the blonde is aware she doesn’t have a car anymore, that she’d been without one for over a year, but it’s not something she acknowledges right now. Instead she chooses to extend her hand after the woman steps back from the car.] I’m Melody.

It's an easy fix. [That was a lie. It had been quite to locate the source of the leak, and even harder to repair the damage. It took time, and a lot of scavenging to even find something remotely useful--but she had managed, just barely. The car was in working order and Kasia has yet another achievement under her belt. As the woman extends her hand, she wipes her hand free of grime once more, just for good measure.] I'm Kasia.

[The past couple weeks have been peaceful enough, in that Melody has been able to remain happily lost in her own head. The town they’re staying in is nice, though the theatre is a bit cramped and that’s what has her stepping outside for some fresh air. When she passes by the girl with her head in the hood of her car Melody pauses and tilts her head at her in concern. It’s a moment before she registers the girl’s question, and then she just blinks at her.] Is your car broken?

I don't think so. [Kasia takes note of the girls slightly delayed response, but she puts no judgement into the observation, she just carries on with her tinkering before wiping her hands free of grease. Averting her full attention to the girl, she relaxes slightly. The blonde seemed like one of the more nicer people within the group.] There was a leak that had been bothering me. Hopefully I fixed it.

[Lilith had seen the stranger a while ago, she hadn’t expected to see her when she passed by again. She stops this time, wondering if she should disturb her when the woman suddenly speaks out and the choice is taken from her] I was just wondering if I could do anything for you, grab you a drink or something to eat. Y’know.

[Her eyes land upon a mess of blonde curls, and as she waits for a response, she's quite surprised when it was an actual offer of supplies instead of a request. There's a pause, and she wipes her hands free of the grease before she begins talking again.] I have my crackers and some water, I'll be fine. Thank you for the offer, though.

I don’t know you. {Josie states simply, dryly, the usual dull pitch of her voice. Though what is there to be excited about? It’s just a woman. One that wouldn’t take her out and kill her. Then again, she hadn’t thought much of Jessica either. But the woman had been crazy.} You got a name?

[Her eyes land on a small blonde and her tone matches how Kasia feels. She doesn't want to be here. But she knows better than to venture off on her own, so she settles for a slightly forced smile and somewhat polite tone. It's hot, and she's far too tired to even try with her facade.] Kseniya. But call me Kasia.

[There's a silent hum in her ears as buries her arms in the hood of her car. She had been able to help out more within the group, her few shifts on patrol have her some purpose, and she tried to assist when she could. Most of the time, she was just silently working on her vehicle or the few weapons she possessed. She was no expert at either of them, but with enough examination, she could at least scope out the mere basics of their configuration. She pops her head out for a moment and notices the presence of another person, she's startled, but soon realizes that there's possibly a reason for their appearance.] Do you need help with something?

[Rory knows that voice, at least a little. She pulls her attention away from the wall, at least attempting to pretend she wasn’t staring at it. But with the question she hears, she knows that she’s been found out. She falls back on her bottom, pulling her knees to her chest before nodding, albeit a bit half heartedly.] I’m fine. [It’s a lie. It’s been a lie since she joined the group. This world was not what Rory was made for. Death and destruction. Nearly dying, the fear of people she cared about meeting that fate. The lack of control she now had of her own life. It’d all slowly gotten to her.] I hated fire when I was little. It’s the only thing — it’s the only thing I control now. Is that irony?

[When there's no hysteric crying or spontaneous combustion, she assume she's in the clear. Slowly and cautiously, she inches closer to the girl, closing the distance between them drastically. As Rory sat herself down, Kasia props herself against the wall, sliding down with a graceful thud, before crossing her legs beneath her.] I'd say so. [She pauses, pondering on the idea of what she could say next.] I used to be afraid of the dark. Now I surround myself with it. [That was a little white lie. She couldn't remember whether or not she was once fearful of the dark, she had just assumed so. It was a common fear, perhaps she feared it at one point too. It was also her shitty attempt at trying to cheer the girl up.]

[Rory doesn’t like the town they’re in. Despite the room it comes with, it also gives her weird feelings. At first, she’d attributed it to the fact that people had perished trying to get there. But as the days passed and through each of her lessons with Isobel, the weird feeling hasn’t faded. She’s staring now, at a wall that looks like it’s been drawn on countless times. It’s bugging her and the longer she stares, the more she feels her eye twitch, before she scorches the area. When it fades, she pulls her sweater to cover more of herself, mostly the bruises on her chest. Rory still doesn’t like the place, but she resists the impulse to burn the place to the ground.]

[The town itself isn't that bad. Okay, maybe it's a little creepy. But it's nothing she can't block out. But, that doesn't seem to be the case for the smaller redhead she had spotted from across the room. She was just... there. Not moving. Even Kasia wasn't that weird. So, as any logical person would, she slowly began to approach the girl, before stopping in her tracks as her eyes widen in disbelief as the wall is engulfed by flames. It's a little off putting, but being burned is the least of her worries.] Hey, uh... Rory, right? [There's a pause. An awkward one, at that. She's almost hesitant as the girl seems to shrink into herself even more.] Are you okay?

[At the sound of another approaching, Rabbit looks up for a brief second before the woman leans against the wall and he glances back at the box. He’s going through random tools and rope and tape (which might be helpful) when she speaks.] Loads. Actually my favorite hobby, going through boxes. [The sarcasm is evident but it’s not necessarily malicious.]

[Her eyes drift to what little is left in the room, what is left, seems useful. Not entirely to herself, but she can see the potential with them. Like the tape and rope. One could never have enough tape and rope, and she made sure to see if she could find some for herself.] Seems like so much fun. I'll have to try it for myself. [There's a hint of dry humor in her voice, and she averts her attention to a box left aside on the ground. Kneeling down, she begins her search for potential treasures, or just more junk, she had still yet to see anything of use.]

[Rabbit’s in the True Value, looking through whatever shit he can find, to see if there’s anything useful. That Rachel chick had come with him, looking around somewhere in the store but Rabbit wasn’t really paying attention. He lifted a rather large box filled with an assortment of things and walked out of the back room before setting it on the ground. He figures he may as well go through it since he has plenty of time to kill. Setting Duke beside him, he crouches down, opening the flaps and starts pulling out random tools.]

[Boredom had struck and Kasia was now slowly making her way through the abandoned stores, making sure that at least one person was in her general vicinity. She wasn't exactly following the rules, but dragging someone along with her seemed like a pain. Her ears pick up the sound of foot steps and she pokes her around the corner, her eyes landing on Rabbit. The only thing she could identify him with was the mace that was placed beside him. Her steps are light as she makes her presence known, before propping herself against the wall.] Having fun?

A little bit. [There’s a small scrunch to her nose and she actually does feel proud. It’s something small and likely unimportant, but the pride is still there.] I can’t imagine why there’s a stigma. I mean, it’s not like black is generally associated with evil. Oh, that’s right. [She’d been through her fair share of being judged based on her markings, though she was unsure if it was something that occurred here. Her attention to it was off, much like her attention to everything else.] They distract things sometimes. And they distract me, so it works. Impaling things is fun. Vlad would be proud.

I don't think these people are all that biased, since each--uh, 'type', has their own faults. We just happen to be associated with Satan. Fun stuff. [She had hear the term 'devil' thrown around recently, and she had grown used to it. It was far better than being referred to as a 'tainted one', and handcuffed to a tree. But that is for another day, so she glances down for a moment before returning her gaze to the petite brunette.] I can take away light, as well. Kind of like a sponge... who impales. Weird mix.

I knew there was some sort of accent about you. I am a phenomenal judge, clearly. [She wasn’t, not really. Isobel didn’t have spectacular insight into people, she just got lucky sometimes. Usually with simple kills, never with actual people. The question about shadows elicits a nod from the girl. Isobel doesn’t keep track of who has what; the last person she knew that had her marks was long gone.] Wreaking havoc may not be the best way to put it. I usually just… make puppet shows. And animals. And one time, a dragon. [She sighs fondly on the memory of the minor creature she’d created but once.] Anyway, yeah. I got ‘em.

You must be so proud. [A sense of relief is sent throughout her body. She always felt at ease around those like her. There was less of a chance of being scrutinized, and she was always on board for that.] Seems like the generally stigma attached to the markings. [At least, it was the general stigma attached to her stigma. She was still unsure about the judgement of people like her, so she tried to stay as low key as possible.] Puppet shows...? Sounds useful. I just impale things, like you almost saw.

[Isobel pulls a minor and very brief pout. Nobody seemed to wander and while she understood why, it caused her to worry she’d never get the chance to wander herself.] Well, that’s no fun. [Her arms cross at the question and she shrugs, though she is fully aware she doesn’t stalk. Didn’t stalk. Ever.] Depends on the day. It’s usually by way of shadows and usually just dead shit. Maybe you’re special. [There’s the usual joking tone in Isobel’s voice and she builds on it with her facial expressions, though her timing is probably not proper. She doesn’t care.]

I like to think I'm special. I'm the only Russian here, I think. [She was almost certain of that fact. The talk of shadows sparks her curiosity once more, perhaps there's more in common than Kasia initially thought.] Are you like me? Using shadows... wreaking havoc... I don't know. As many have asked me, do you have black markings?

My stalker mind is at ease now. [She tilts her head to the side, almost embarrassed at the fact she’d stalked someone. It passes quickly, solely based on the fact that she didn’t know if they were living or dead at the time. At least for the first minute.] Isobel. Nice to meet you. And stalk you. [It wasn’t really nice to stalk, but she was still stuck on that, if only for the moment.] Do you make a habit of wandering?

I try not to. [There's a pause, and a slight buzz of curiosity. She couldn't stop her want to learn about these people, but she knew her place. People were still grieving, Kasia couldn't understand that. She had never been in the position to grieve. So she began to walk, or wander, as the pretty brunette had put it.] Do you make a habit of stalking?

[Isobel is still keeping to herself. Staying in small corners to keep herself entertained with her shadow puppets, deviating eye contact. She’s had roughly one conversation, aside from her semi-regular meetings with the skittish redhead she sometimes cares about, and she’s content with that. Or she was. Boredom sets in, along with cramping legs and she stands and walks, accidentally setting a pattern that could be interpreted as stalking. The person she was following turns and Isobel cocks her head and grins.] As fun as you impaling me with those tentacles would have been, kinda glad you didn’t. I’ve seen people farther out, too, so relax.

I'll keep that in mind for the next time I just happen to be stalked by you. [The comment was laced with a dry humor Kasia had picked up throughout her travels. More often than not, most couldn't tell whether she was being sarcastic or not. She might as well play on the general misconception of her words.] Kseniya. Or Kasia. Whichever's easier. [A polite nod follows her words as a smile stretches across her chapped lips.]

[She had been scouting throughout the abandoned town. Knowing that venturing too far would prove to be of no value to anyone since she was alone, she opted on returning to a more occupied portion of the town. Her feet stopped in their tracks as a person startled her from behind, instinctively causing her to conjure the shadow constructs she used so frequently. The sharp ends of the shadows froze in time as familiar face is what met her line of sight, not a member of the undead. Embarrassment tinted her cheeks as the shadow forms soon turned to nothing.] Shit. I'm uh--I really shouldn't be out this far. Sorry about that.

[It’s probably his own fault for wording the question the way he did, but the woman’s answer tells him nothing. He’s not even entirely sure what she said, because if that’s her name it isn’t one he’s ever heard before.] Jack. [He tells her after a moment’s hesitation, deciding there’s no harm in it before he continues,] How long have you been here? Did you talk to Kr - [He stops himself before he says Kris’s name out of habit and quickly covers,] uh. Did you talk to Mr. DeWitt or Tessa?

[She nods as he introduces himself, not wanting to delay the questions she anticipates he's going to ask. They're always the same, but she can't really blame them. Just from a general observation, most people were in a shitty state. Being cautious was a given.] A little longer than a week, and no, I couldn't find either of them. I've been a bit of a loner.

[She seemed pretty young and slightly intimidated but anyone’s capable of terrifying things so he keeps up the stern voice and serious expression. It doesn’t take much for Wes to intimidate people if they’re shorter than him. He’s only worried for his group - he means no harm.] Wes. [He returns his name, offering it simply as she had at the very least been brought in by someone. Someone he sort of trusts — even though he’s still pretty freaked out by what Beth’s marks make her capable of and precisely the reason why he can’t just go and be trusting of to everyone.] Did she give you the rule run down?

[A simple nod is all that follows as he introduces himself. No threats had been muttered nor had any weapons been drawn; she was doing well, so far.] All she told me was to not fight anyone. [She had been doing well at that. But that's mostly due to the fact that she had been avoiding most of the group.] I was going to find the leaders--Tessa and Benjamin, right? But I haven't had any luck.
