Bullying- ITS NEVER OKAY
This weekend I was away with my brothers hockey team for a tournament. All weekend I knew one of the boys was being alienated by the team so me and my youngest brother decided to go and spend time with him in the stands (he was on injury reserve with a broken foot) and when the team would stop for food we would hang out with him. Well tonight we went to Tim Hortons and were waiting for a new bus cause there's had broke down. When I walked in I saw this boy was sitting by himself and so I went and sat with him. We were talking and at the same time he was also trying to talk to his team mates. They ignored him completely. They would talk to me not to him. THATS NOT OKAY! The worst of it was that of the 3 boys he was talking to 2 were Assistant Captains. Those two boys are supposed to be role models to the rest of the team and show them what a team is, but they didn't they just treated this kid worse than the mud at the bottom of there shoes. The excuse I heard from my parents when we got in the car was that he had done it to himself and that the team just was done trying. But that wasn't what I saw today I saw a kid trying to have friends and be apart of the team and be treated like crap. No matter how badly this kid acts, no matter what he has said in the past or acted like he was trying today and they treated him horribly! That is not nor will it ever be okay! - Kass
