It’s almost as..

If he expected that he could come back to that hometown.

Trying to find out if she could forget.

How she was the one to break it off the second time around.

How his mother didn’t like her.

How he would never break the rules for her.

She still remembers how it felt.

Somehow he thought it would be different this time.

Checking in. Scoping out his options.

Nothing has changed.

Yes. They think of one another from time to time.

But nothing has changed.

She needed him a long time ago - he turned his back on her when she needed him the most.

That girl is gone. Replaced.

With someone more selfish… You don't want her.

She left your hometown. She won't be coming back.
