this seems like a misunderstanding thing going on. op is talking about fiction where rape and incest are being glorified and not seen as something thats actually wrong. while everyone else (well i think its some people) are talking about the fact that you have the right to write whatever you want, which is true.

writing something that includes rape or incest doesn't automatically mean the writer supports or likes it (unless its being glorified). it can be used to spread awareness or whatever.

rape and incest isnt okay to write about WHEN its being GLORIFIED.

writing about something doesn't automatically mean you actually support it or like it. If that were the case, a lot of fiction that include murder, genocide and pedophilia etc would also be wrong to write about then too. (and theres hundreds and hundreds of books that address these issues. not allowing books to talk about serious topics would mean that you can't write something that acknowledges and talks about these issues to spread more awareness)

also i think its good to spread more awareness about such things. because theres a lot of fiction (cough, a lot of "dark" romance books usually) that normalise rape and stuff. so when the ONLY fiction where these topics are talked about are in those kinds of books where its usually normalised, then thats a bad thing.

if no one writes any fiction where rape and incest is acknowledged as a bad thing and it is not glorified at all, that can be harmful to victims who end up only seeing what happened to them in fiction where its romanticised
