Island, huh. I bet the children of Poseidon used to love it.
Probably but I've never really spoke to them. Ever.
Island?
Yeah, everyone used to live on an island instead of this campsite. It was pretty ace.
Ah, okay. So did you just get back then?
Yeah, m'sister and I went to visit our mum back home.
Safety issues here or there?
Here but I guess it's all resolved now since everyone's back.
It’s disgusting. I want to go home.
It isn't too bad. It sucks that the rooms are smaller, though.
Island? What island?
We used to live on an island instead of camp. Something about safety issues or something, I'm not entirely sure.
Wow, this place is really different from the island.
"Don’t mind if I do." he smirked, breaking the double chocolate cupcake in half and popping one of them in his mouth. He took a moment to chew, using it to be infinitely grateful that his gamble had worked and he had guessed the correct twin. Everything would be easier if everyone just wore one of those ‘Hi, my name is’ stickers. “Wait, you’re not a Hypnos kid," he remarked, a confused frown taking over as he glanced at her, "… Right? And, no, I don’t think so. Oh, except for the zombie apocalypse. Yeah, you slept right through that. And, of course, you missed getting to hang out with me— the most interesting thing you could do on this island!"
"No, I'm a Morpheus kid; I just really didn't want to wake up from my dream," she replied calmly with a small shrug, taking a large bite from a cookie soon after. Kat actually did this quite often. Whenever she would like a dream, she often stayed in it until she either got bored of it or she ended up dying. It was usually the former. "Well, shit. I've always wanted to smash in a zombie's head with a metal bat," she replied with a pout, lightly rolling her eyes. "Oh, of course. Luckily for me, you're sitting right here."
In an attempt to not get his head ripped off by a pissed off douche bag, Kendall decided that it was probably best to stay away from WASFIC for a while. Which is why he went to the shop sitting just a couple steps away, with windows that had the other in plain view. He figured that if he was going to hide, he might as well hide somewhere in plain sight and air-conditioned. You know, to really throw Drake off. Sitting in one of the tables in the corner, he idly picked at the remnants of the doughnuts he had just devoured when he overheard the egregious order from a familiar accent. He caught the look the worker gave her, one similar to what he had received when he tried to order an elephant-shaped cake, and smirked. “Hey, Katty," Ken grinned, wandering over to her table and inviting himself to sit down, “Wow, you stocking up? Here, someone should probably make sure all of this isn’t poisoned or something. I gladly volunteer."
She was already done with her second cupcake when she saw a shadow sit with her, soon hearing a familiar voice that she couldn't quite recognize but there was only one person she knew, other than her sister, that would even consider calling her Katty. "Hey, Kenny," she replied, looking up and slightly raising the corner of her lip. "Help yourself," she said, pushing a few plates towards the boy. "Hey, in my defense I've been asleep for almost a week and I'm starving. Did I miss anything interesting?" She asked half joking, not really expecting him to know much about the past events.
Kat lazily left the Hypnos manor, wondering in the back of her mind when she would have a manor of her own while she headed towards the Island Square. She walked into the first food building she saw, which happened to be Akane's Bakery, and went straight to the cash register since there was no line. "Hi, I'd like to have two red velvet cupcakes, one double chocolate cupcake, five sugar cookies, a slice of strawberry cake, and a slice of banberry pie." After reviving an odd look, the worker gave her all the treats after she gave him the correct amount of change. She managed to carry all the desserts to a booth nearby and began enjoying het snack.
“Go away.”
"I do what I want."
Kit walked out of the Snack Shack, licking the watermelon bombpop she just bought. She’d been parading around in her, what some would consider skimpy, maid outfit. The idea of opening a maid café with her sister was getting her excited. Kit knew it would be a while until they had the money to get it up and running, but she didn’t care. Her heels made a sound that she loved for some reason. Eventually, she just ended strutting around the island, not going anywhere in particular.
Kat heard a familiar clicking sound around where she was sitting and soon enough she saw Kit walking around in the blonde's favorite heels. "Enjoying your stripper heels?" She called, teasing her sister.
“I don’t think you should change it.” Said lacy as she walked out of the store “I’m lacy, daughter of Aphrodite. Who are you?”
"Thanks," she nodded, turning to the girl, "Pink is more of my color anyways," Kat added with a chuckle. "Kat, daughter of Morpheus. Pleasure," she answered, holding out her hand to the petite blonde besides her.
“I thought the question was ‘how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?’,” Drake remarked, taking an overly big bite of his ice cream sandwich as he exited from his respective store, “You know, other than why the chicken crossed the road. Those are the brainteasers, especially to those who don’t have brains.”
Following the voice, Kat turned only to see a blonde haired boy taking a large bite of his ice cream. It seemed a bit too late to have ice cream but it was summer after all the leftover heat from the day was still in the air. "A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could if a woodchuck could chuck wood," she replied as one of the corners of her lips raised, "But I'm sure you knew the answer to that question."
Kat finished her shift at Vanity and exited the store with a bottle of bleach in one hand and the other holding silver dye. "To change my hair or not to change my hair, that is the question," she muttered once she stepped out of the doors.
“I just felt like it? I dunno.”
"That's strange," she muttered, a bit crushed Kit changed her hair so suddenly without telling her. It was silly, but she felt sad. "I bet mum will be happy you changed your hair back, though."
“You can just dye it blonde?”
"Eh, maybe," she shrugged, finding the color to be a bit boring. "Why did you change it, anyway?"
