Adventures of Snow Bite & Elissabat 💜🍏🩷
I may have accidentally scalded my hand doing Draculaura as Snow Bite’s hair today (boil it! boil it!) but at least it came out glossy and cute! I’d love to actually be good at styling doll hair at some point. But for now her little twist back is going to have to suffice.
I wish they’d done more of these twisted fairy tale ghouls, the idea is so fun and this may be my favorite Draculaura ever.

So, I finally cracked and bought my first Monster High doll. And I’m in love. She’s perfect.
Except for the fact that her bangs are, for reasons I cannot fathom, cut around her entire head, so even after a boil and set, the “bang layer” still sticks up randomly on the side of her head. I’ve edited this out because it looks ridiculous and I’m not trying to embarrass this ghoul like that on Al Gore’s internet. But she had zero glue seepage, so thank Vlad for that.
There’s something about the more gothic Monster High dolls that I just love so much, I’m not really one for neon or insane 2010s pattern clashing. I wish they’d lean a little more gothic with the new releases but hey, I don’t buy brand new dolls anyway so who cares. The fact that this doll came from Paramus New Jersey also feels right to me, kind of like she’s a cousin to the What We Do in the Shadows crew over on Staten Island.

If all of my Barbies were to be thrown into the plot of Clue, this Barbie would be “Miss Swan, in the garden, with the feathers.” I’m not sure how she’d manage to potentially murder someone with feathers, maybe it would involve an allergic reaction? Tickling the victim to death? Who knows. But the feathers from this costume would be Exhibit A in court because they are EVERYWHERE. I think Mattel attached them to this outfit with thoughts and prayers.
She’s out of the box now because the box looked like it’d been through it. “It” being a meat grinder operated by a stalwart workaholic butcher who continued working even after his butcher shop was swept away in a still-active hurricane.

Fairy of the Garden. I suffer from compulsive collaging so here she is, basically though she is. The photos of her are my own (obviously, because they’re lit so poorly).
This doll was one of my first finds and while I bought her in-box I just couldn’t help myself from, delicately, prying her the hell out of there (thank god for exacto knives). I love her facial design, I definitely feel favoritism towards late 90s-mid 2000s face molds, and her little pointed ears are such a cute detail.
Does anyone else name their dolls when they don’t already come with names, and even sometimes when they do? I always have and I named this fairy Peony. So, here she is.
