At one brief point during planning, our venue fell through. During that week or so, we decided that instead of a summer wedding we would do a Leap Year wedding. Monday, February 29 would be our wedding day, Sunday would be the grooms dinner, and Saturday would be a big party in anticipation of the nuptials. It was backward and perfect. Admittedly, there was a bit of disappointment that our original spot ended up working out and a soft crusade was made to go all in on this leap year wedding idea. Our first dance was to Boston’s “Let Me Take You Home Tonight” because it felt like marriage to us. It’s slow and romantic and it’s also an all out rocker all bundled up into one.
