For as long as I can remember I've craved to be content in life. Whether it was in my job, my future, my present, I've always wondered what it would look like to truly trust God with today. I have never been satisfied with the now. I've always been the person looking ahead at the next thing, always planning my future. The Lord has been teaching me contentment in Him and it has been such a beautiful chapter to add to the story he's writing in my life. I have never before felt as content as I am right here, right now, in these moments that create my days away from home. God has shown me more of himself. He's shown me more of myself. I wake up with him and fall asleep with him. Jesus is in all of my thoughts and I cannot escape the constant communication I have with Him. I think back to even a month ago at home and things weren't this way, but I don't know how I have lived any other way! I cannot express how honored I am to be learning so much about Him while being a squad leader to this amazing group of God fearing young adults. They've blessed me immensely and the Lord has touched my heart in more ways than I can count. I am finally content for the first time in my life and that is because I've finally let Jesus be at the forefront of my life and it's the absolute best. Thank you Jesus for your patience and grace.
