 . In this video we take steamed ribs and clamp to the chine stringers to shape the bottom of the kayak.

  A chine stringer in a kayak is the piece or pieces of wood that run lengthwise with the kayak and give the hull its shape. The flatness or roundness of the kayak bottom depends on where you place the chine stringers.
