im currently reading this book called 'if cat's disappeared from the world' and it's about a man who is about to die and makes a deal with the devil to make certain things disappear from the world in trade for an extra day of life. and it's really interesting because it boils it down to the fact that humans only need water, food, and oxygen to survive, so everything else is unnecessary can be traded away, but also do you really want to live in a world without the simple joys of life? and are they really unnecessary if they make you happy?

so, and i wont spoil it too much, but there's a chapter about if movies disappeared, and it talks about how movies aren't just movies, but also a way of connection, and it's not just about the film but who you watch them with and the memories formed from that. and like, the discussion of film, kinda like how we were talking about with the drama, with how the same people can watch a movie and have wildly different opinions on it, and how you can rewatch a movie at a different point in your life and see it in a whole new like, and how that's the point of movies.

anyways i'm sorry for rambling, i just wanted to tell you cause it really reminded me of you <3 i love your love of movies and i love reading your reviews on letterboxd so much!! also I'm gonna read this is how you lose the time war soon trust 🫡

i have never intended to be predatory towards any of the members. it’s honestly really jarring to have to outwardly state that because since ive been on cortisblr (oct 2025), ive always advocated for keeping this space respectful and safe. i really hoped people would have known that my blog would be somewhere cortis could be appreciated appropriately. ive never wanted to cross that boundary or be grouped with people who are being predatory on here. see this post for more information on that.

i was 19 when i wrote for juhoon and martin (when they were 17-18). i understand that not everyone is comfortable with that age gap. to explain my POV, as an 06 and them being 08, they’d be in 1 grade below me, which to me, is not predatory - if you want to believe i’m weird for that though, you are more than free to not engage with my account.

i turned 20 in april, and ive been on hiatus since for personal reasons, but that doesn’t make me a predator for still liking cortis. i support them the same way i always have and i’ll forever advocate for their safety, especially in digital spaces like cortisblr.

kind of off topic but,, i haven’t been active much these days however ive seen/ heard from other people certain things happening on cortisblr that i dont stand for. i think people are starting to increasingly move weirdly in a fandom that is also growing extremely quick.

there’s a lot of instances i’m talking about so this isn’t targeted towards anyone specific, but i just think people need to remember that indeed 4/5 of the cortis members are minors in their home country, and so nsfw works for them are absolutely NOT okay, and that there are always real people on the other side of asks sent on anon, meaning the feature should not be abused for unnecessarily mean intentions.

hello :)) i still don’t think i’ve processed how much this project meant to me

what started off as just a beautiful project for our ivy turned into something that felt so much bigger than any of us probably expected. it felt like we were all quietly building something together, piece by piece, and somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about what we were creating and started being about the connections forming in between all of it

i really want to take a second to appreciate the people who came up with this whole idea in the first place: @hollyoongs @kaikaikoi @miseulgaru , because genuinely none of this would’ve existed without you

and of course our beautiful birthday girl ivy : @teacuplps so much love was put into this and so much emotion went into making something that could reflect even a fraction of what you mean to everyone here, you deserve that kind of care always teacup

what was so special to me though is how natural everything felt, creating alongside all of you felt so natural and so easy in a way that made everything flow

i didn’t really expect to get this attached or to care this much but i really do. i love all of you. from the bottom of my heart. you made this feel safe, exciting etc…

so thank you for letting me be apart of this, and just for being the kind of people i got to experience this with, this meant more to me than i can probably put into words

this idea came to life the second I got to gather all of these amazing people. the compromise, the dedication, and most importantly, the heart they put into this made this gift even more special.
