Dear Gave It All Away,
You’re 15 and you consistently think about “when your life starts.” What if I told you that your life right now is something that will shape you forever?
What if I told you that these feelings you have right now to have experiences before you get behind should not run your life. High school is just that high school. It’s not the best time in your life. To be completely honest, 10 years later. It didn’t make the top 25. You are racing for things to happen and when instead it should be memories. Pro Tip- Don’t kiss her. Just say away from girls- they are a mess. These things should be memories to fall back on not moments to grimace at now.
In about 6 years you’ll meet a nice girl. You’re going to think “why is this girl nice to me?” and you’re going to straight think you don’t deserve it. You’ll do everything you can to sabotage it. For some reason- she stays. You marry her. It’s not that we are anything but, two people who care about each other. Because thats really what it comes down too.
Something else too- I know you don’t have a name yet. You’re picking. I URGE you to consider the true picture of who you are. You don’t have to pick a name because its close to the one given. (though years later your mom admits that she apperciates it).
Things get better- a lot is going to happen in the next 4 years. I do mean a lot. But, just stick to some solid life lessons I have learned. You are who you think you are and always have been. You’re much stronger than you think and enjoy the moment because life is moving so fast. Before you know it you’re going to be married and have a family and struggling to pay bills. Enjoy now and just get through it. Make memories not moments.
Here for you,
Your 10 years later.
