First Loss

The sound of the canon was too loud, and too soon. The body of his male tribute fell. and Kayne just sat still, clenching his fist. Do not show weakness, he would not cave under it. He despised this so much, and he knew that somewhere in his District, a family and friends were screaming in sorrow... 

And of course, the capitol just watched in amusement, cheering.

KAYNE !! [Arthemis hadn't see her older brother for a year and because the Hunger Games was the only time she could see them so, she made an effort each year. She was running to him] Kayne ! Hey...How...How are you ? Long time no see...

Kayne glanced at her and gave a slow smile, opening his arms to hug her. "Hello.. I am good, just busy making sure all of the power is running at full. How are your preparations going?" He asked, patting her hair.
