Oliver was happy, taking the coffee from him. There was something about the warmth in his hand, and the smell which just did something to him. He shifted his shoulders, still standing at the counter before taking a nice sip of his coffee. He shot a judgmental glare at Kayon’s weird whipped cold drink. He knew how much of a coffee purist Oli was, the gross green colour was just undesirable. “Okay. Let’s get a Cage some kind of whatever. And I should get something for dinner tonight.” Living alone was hard, most days he would just try to convince one of the boys to let him stay for a meal. “I want some kind of wrap thing. That’s an easy cook, right?”
Kayson loved his mint drink, he got every day and sometimes he’d even get an extra big cup of it. Of course it had three shots of espresso in it, but it’s the mint flavor that he loves. Seeing the look from Oli though earns an eyeroll from Kayson, taking an extra long drink through his straw. “Hats, Oli, we’re getting Cage some hats. Duh you have to eat.” Kayson murmurs, hooking his arm with Oliver’s again. He hums and thinks for a few moments, thinking. “After we’re done shopping...maybe we could go to the diner and get some food? Or we can go back to my place and I’ll make us whatever you want?” Kayson didn’t really mind having Oliver over for dinner, it was better than eating alone.
sayyour-prayers:
Oli just smiled. He wasn’t going to continue arguing, though it was just lovingly. The smell of coffee had him whip his head to take a look in that direction, walking without even saying a work but instead just pulling Kayson along by their intertwined hands. This was a kind of cutesy behavior that he would reserve for two of his bestest friends. It stayed between them, and he would always deny it anyone ever asked. He didn’t mind playing the role of boyfriend, but beyond conceivable for it to be real. “In here - now.” There was a silent please that maybe hung between them. “Just black. A large, don’t cheap out on me.”
Kayson loved having fun, he was just a bubbly type of person. He had to admit though, the sound of coffee and the smell of it did sound really good to him right now. Giggling at being pulled along, Kayson swears that Oliver was like a child when it came to coffee. Looking at the other and shaking his head in amusement, he smiles at their hands and gives Oliver’s a light squeeze when they arrive. “Yeah, yeah I won’t cheap out on you.” He chuckles, fingers going through his bright purple hair. Going to the counter and ordering Oliver’s coffee along with his mint Mocha frozen frap. Bringing it back to Oliver, holding the coffee out for the other and taking a drink of his own. “Here here, you happy now?”
sayyour-prayers:
“Nice and treating you like a puppy are very different.” Oliver had no issue teasing him back, and if anything it was how he showed his affection. It was still giving him attention, and almost in a lovingly. Though, he wasn’t vocal about that love. He didn’t need to be though, as the boys just knew it by the way he teased them carefully. “Are you just rolling in cash nowadays?” He raised his brow, looking over at Kayson. He wasn’t dressed particularly richly. “Enough for your sap, coffee. In my mouth. Instantly.”
“Always so mean to me, and i’m always so nice to you.” He teases, sticking his tongue out at the other playfully. Kayson was so used to Oliver’s ways by now. He loved Cage and Oliver equally, even though he was much more psycial with Oli than with Cage. “Shush. I booked a nice gig, and got paid pretty good for it.” He shrugs at the question, rolling his eyes and walking down the sidewalk. “So damn rude. Alright we’re almost there, grinch. That’s what i get for trying to be cute.”
sayyour-prayers:
“You know I will never treat you the same way he does.” Cage was soft, and he’d clearly been shaped by the reality of life instead of toughened like Oliver had. He was sure it was nice to be like hat, enjoy every flower you walked by but Oli didn’t have time for that. He just grazed elbows with the thorns as a acknowledgement. “Why are we buying something for Cage? It isn’t his birthday, right?” Oli knew he would probably forget that, he relied on either of the friends to remind him of the other persons birthday. “We are going to be out all day, I can just imagine.” He didn’t mind the arm contact.
“I know, he’s actually nice to me.” Kayson teases, not being mean about it. He knows by now how Cage and Oliver were, they were both completely opposite of each other and Kayson was smack dab in the middle of them. He chuckles and shakes his head at the question. “Nah, it’s not his birthday. Buying him new hats because he likes them. He buys everyone else things but never really gets stuff in return. Like to surprise him once in awhile.” Kayson chuckles, hooking an arm with Oliver being nodding a few times. “Yes, we are. But I promise to make it worth it.”
sayyour-prayers:
“Hey - don’t start with that.” He hated when Kayson acted like a kicked puppy, it was a tactic that made him feel guilty and maybe it worked - Oli hate feeling that way, when in his mind he did nothing wrong. “Let’s just get some coffee, please.” He grabbed Kayson’s hand a moment, squeezing playfully, he walked like that before letting go to focus on opening the door to the comic book store. he waved at his coworker, pushing his chair in to rest against the near by wall then walking out. “Okay, now we can go do your shopping you poor little puppy.” He teased. There was a quality to Oliver, that made you feel uncertain if he was teasing you cause he was mean, or cause he loved you.
“I have to because you don’t spoil me like Cage does.” He points out softly, eyes going over to Oliver. He came to learn the other’s ways by now so he didn’t take most things Oliver said to heart. Kayson nods and hums a little bit to himself, eyes going around the site one more time before following Oliver through the shop. “Let’s go to that one store with all those hats! Cage always wants new hats. Oh and maybe some more art for my place because I do need some more.” So what, Kayson might of been slightly addicted to art. He pouts before trying to hook his arm with Oliver’s, beaming over at the other.
sayyour-prayers:
“Oh my god -” Oliver grabbed his back from under his chair, turning off his camera. He was careful to put it in the protected bag, then putting that and the tripod in there too. “Can you spare me the water works? Not all of us can just do whatever we want all day.” He slung the bag over his shoulder, then bunching up his chair. “Let’s just drop off my chair at the store and we will go. Okay, baby?” He cooed childishly at him. He was a little bit of a hard-ass, though his closest friends knew it was all in good spirit. “You can get me some coffee, too.”
Kayson watches Oli carefully, arching an eyebrow and sighing shortly after. He didn’t want to make the other mad at him because then it wouldn’t be fun for either of them. “Hey, don’t be mean, Oli. I just got overly excited.” He mumbles, chewing his lip before putting his snapback hat back on. Nodding slowly at the other’s idea, hands going into his pocket. “Okay, and yeah I’ll you some coffee. I’m sorry for being a nagging brat.” Kayson murmurs, grabbing his bottle of water before humming a little bit to himself. “Promise next time you gotta work I won’t nag you about it.”
sayyour-prayers:
Oliver looked over at him. He had been filming for a few hours, but in timelapse that made about thirty seconds. He was supposed to work today, but it was hard to separate the man and the camera that was permanently in his palm. “What else could you possibly need that you don’t already have?” He turned away from him, making sure his shot was clear once more to capture everyone walking by. “Like five more minutes, please - if it won’t kill you.” He hunched back over to look at the camera screen. “You know a puppy dog look doesn’t work on my cold heart.”
Kayson was trying his best to not be bouncing off the walls right now but it was hard. Especially watching Oliver because he wasn’t really doing anything. He knows how Oli is though and sometimes that was a little bit annoying sometimes. “I wanna get Cage a new hat, and hm maybe me some new clothes. Oh oh and some new art work for my place.” Kayson rambles, moving to stand next to Oliver now so he’s completely out of the way. “Yup it’s gonna kill me, that’s gonna be the cause of my death.” He pouts a little bit more and even lets out a soft whine for affect. “Oli, pretty please. We’ve been here forever now.”
sayyour-prayers:
“Do you mind?” Oli leaned as he watched his carefully set up camera filming the busy market street. The road was rather crowded, but Oliver had his chair parked in the middle as he time lapsed the people walking by the early morning. “You’ve been standing directly in my shot for like five minutes.” He kicked his legs out ahead of him as he reclined further in his chair. He’d been trying to film something for the comic book store and helped managed their social media. “So if you could scoot a bit -”
“I mind most times.” He teases, eyes scanning people on the street. It was fun people watching, but not in the creepy way though. Now Kayson needed to decide which place he wanted to go into next, there’s so many options and he was like a kid in a candy store right now. “Well Oli, maybe your shot is just in my way.” He jokes, but moves over anyways out of the camera’s view and making a face at Oliver now. “Dude are you almost done? I need someone to go shopping with me and Cage is busy right now.” Now there’s a pout on his lips as he looks around again. “Please Oli.”
