月山右磨. also known as KASPER. the shsl speed racer ( 超高校級の「走り屋」) in the fifty-first season of dangan ronpa. phlegmatic, reticent, and a lover of curry bread. dubbed affectionately by the viewers as SPEED MONSTER, his nonchalant obliviousness has led him to becoming a rather acquired taste to the audience.

OUTOFCHARACTER. It’s going to take me a while before i flesh out the entity of Kasper’s background so here’s the basics: The Tsukiyama family is a notorious bunch of individuals involved in hyogo’s crime scene. Kasper himself is the offspring of crime lords, originally supposed to be their successor in their criminal empire, had it not been for a bust that lead to his parents going to jail. The Tsukiyama family consisted of yamikinyu (loan sharks), prostitution rings, arms smuggling, and other similar activities. Drug trafficking, however, was strictly forbidden.

After Kasper’s parents were convicted when he was eight, he was sent to live with his half sister, Kanezawa Seijun, much to her resentment. Seijun’s side of the family was deeply impacted by Kasper’s family, specifically due to the yamikinyu. Because of their backgrounds, Seijun and Kasper clash horribly down to the point where Kasper is, admittedly, afraid of Seijun. [more to be added later, as Seijun will also be getting her own blog.]

Kasper got involved in illegal driving at around the tender age of eleven, thanks to his more mature-passing looks. His natural environment being in gang-related activity and his last name giving him fame on the streets, Kasper unfortunately made a home in the underground community as it was the only environment he found himself accepted within. The beginnings of his love for racing sprouted from being a getaway driver, racing against time and fast-paced thinking became the norm to him because of this. Later, Kasper transitioned into the act of street racing, cat-and-mouse races being his favorite as it was most similar to the origins of his skill.

Kasper’s most notable trait is his short attention span/lack of attention, outside of the track does he become mainly unfocused, a stoic being mostly involved in his own world. Kasper’s habit of zoning out is an act of dissonance, a trait he developed due to his wretched upbringings and his involvement with Seijun’s family.

KASPER’S RACER’S JERSEY IS HIS FAVORITE OUTFIT. Styled like THIS as he’s quite peculiar with his fashion as well, the handful of patches on his uniform mimic the brands advertised as a professional and legal racer’s uniform. Kasper, who wishes to be a professional and in the legal action, likes the outfit as it keeps himself apart from his background and symbolizes his dream. MOST PECULIARLY, ALTHOUGH KASPER OFTEN SKIPS CLASS, HE ENJOYS THE SCHOOL UNIFORM AS WELL. Wearing the school uniform (especially if it’s from the prestigious Hope’s Peak Academy, whether it’s the main course or the Reserve Course) allows Kasper to personally feel more of a better person than he actually is. With the school uniform does he feel like a regular teenager, unassociated with the crime act, and certainly not the child of once-notorious crimelords. In other words, it allows him to blend in with the community and gives the illusion of a brighter future.

KASPER refers to himself using ‘-ore’. He doesn’t use any honorifics. He will refer to individuals extremely close to him as ‘aniki’ or ‘anego’. HIS LAUGHS CONSIST OF: ‘Heh’, ‘Keh’, or ‘Kehihihi / Keheheheh’ Despite his exterior, Kasper has a very low way of speaking in regards to tone. He is very relaxed and speaks at his own pace.
