My day hike at Breakneck Ridge. Today was not as cold as yesterday but this has caused the snow to start melting and start turning into slippery ice. Luckily, I bought MicroSpikes for my shoes which helps me with traction. The cold is quite peaceful (as long as you have the right gear). Happy Sunday y'all! #VSCOcam (at Breakneck Ridge)

This level of cold. Low of 23 Degrees Fahrenheit. Some can stand it. Some don't have the right clothes and layers to enjoy it. I've learned to embrace and cold of NYC (I love our four seasons). Escaping NY for a morning hike. Now heading back to the city. There's nothing like getting out of the hustle and bustle of the city life for a quick getaway - it's one of the best things about living in NY...you can quickly leave to explore upstate and be back home by the afternoon.
