Is there a reason why you describe yourself as FTM rather than as a trans man?

I think its just cause I came out calling myself FTM and have since I realized I'm trans- when referring to other trans men I use the proper phrasing but I don't mind being called FTM. That's what I am!

Like queer, it's a term that boils down wholly to personal preference. Some trans people want to be completely dissociated with their AGAB while others don't care or don't mind.
