I’m back, tentatively dipping my toe back into blogging.  I’ve had a rough time over the last 18 months, so even doing my nails has been a struggle.  There is a new Cirque Colors group on Facebook, where last week an inspiration photo of turquoise waves crashing on a pink beach was posted, so I gave it a go.

I wore this design out this weekend, when I had the opportunity to see the Frida Kahlo exhibition ‘Making Her Self Up’ at the V&A. I really felt like seeing her history, clothes, makeup, jewellery and corsets, as well as the video installations, connected me to her as a person. I’m so familiar with her fixed image and a distilled version of her style, but this exhibition really brought Frida to life for me as a real woman if that makes sense. ⠀ It was fantastic spending the day with @lisariemers @kinseys_speaks and @zeusrp83, although next time will definitely head for culture _before_ unlimited dim sum!
