KEEP IT FAX !!!!

Keep it FAX is an officially registered UK charity which currently has 3 main objectives: I. To sponsor 20 children's primary school education costs. 10 from Lifeline Nehemiah School for boys. 10 from Kankalay School for girls. II. To collect and donate unwanted items to the Lifeline Nehemiah for example clothes, bedding, electronics. III. To provide annual donations to both schools (Kankalay and Lifeline School for Boys) to improve the quality of education services both schools provide.

Though it’s been long overdue we would like to thank everyone who attended our annual fund raising party and extend these thanks to those who have attended or supported all of our events hosted over the last year.

  With Ebola disrupting normal life in Seirra Leone it has not been possible for us to fulfill our normal mandate. Therefore we have considered using the funds we have raised to support current Ebola relief efforts as well as looking at ways we can establish our own programs to ensure that we are able to contribute to alleviating the direct and less reported indirect affects of the that Ebola is having.

  We have made a £700 donation to Medecins Sans Frontiers/Doctors without borders. We have also collaborated with Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda to ship 6 boxes of medecial supplies. For a breakdown of the supplies shipped please email [email protected].

  As 2015 approaches we welcome any suggestions, ideas or initiatives which could potentially expand and or improve the quality of services we offer.

A few pictures from today's BBQ! We had such a good day and thankfully the weather was kind to us! Once again, we are truly grateful for everyone that took time out to come and support us today-some of you guys travelled far and wide to spend some time with us! I hope you all enjoyed the food (Adjodha's chilli sauce was perfect with the chicken and potato salad!). Big thank you from all of us at Keep It Fax and we will see you all soon.

Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day, so, we made this one pretty special and brought it to work! It was a great catching up over a few healthy treats (minus the croissants) and we managed to raise £230!! Thanks again for the support from you guys, it's greatly appreciated!

A massive thank you to all who came down to spend an afternoon at the Alice in Wonderland inspired afternoon tea party. There was plenty of sandwiches, homemade scones, pies, cake- the chocolate fudge cake was simply amazing!!

It was a great opportunity catch up with everyone and share all of latest Keep It Fax news. This intimate gathering raised £320-which is the cost of 3 children. Thanks for all the support, we had a lovely afternoon.

Do you like afternoon tea and cakes?? Well come and indulge yourself whilst supporting a good cause at the same time!!!

For an entry fee of £10.00 You can enjoy a small selection of finger sandwiches, home made scones with fruit jam and clotted cream and a choice of chocolate cake or carrot cake. There is also a selection of teas from English breakfast tea to fruit herbal tea. The event will start at 2pm and finish at 5 but you can arrive between 2-4 to ensure you have time to enjoy the food. A raffle and other competitions will take place throughout the day.

Boost to Girl-Child Education in Sierra Leone

Progress......

We are starting to make progress. It is great to see all the hard work is paying off and our initial vision is slowly coming into reality.

One of our associates recently took a trip to Sierra Leone and was able to pay a visit to Kankalay girls school. The books and equipment that were sent over a few months were set up in the school library. Giving the school library a brand new face lift.

The first ever annual presentation of the "Adama Sesay" scholarship took place. The scholarship was presented to five students (selected by the school). Each scholarship included the payment of their school fees for a whole year, extra uniform, school bag, pens pencils and course books. At the presentation there were members who have assisted with the work of Keep it FAX and the others were people who shared the same vision. Each person offered words of wisdom to inspire and encourage the girls of the school.

We now look forward to more great things happening for the charity!!! We would like to thank those who have helped us so far, and hope you stay with us on this journey.

Hi folks,

Keep It FAX is holding a fundraising launch party on Saturday 10th August.

                          We want to try and make a difference.

We want to give the children of Kankalay Primary School and The Lifeline Nehemiah School for Boys in Sierra Leone a foundation for their futures. £100 per child will cover the cost of school fees, text books, school uniforms, shoes and other necessities.

We also want to raise money to provide two generators for the Kankalay School and are collecting books to fill its empty library.

This event will go a long way towards meeting our target – and you can play a huge part in getting there.

Your vital contribution will be made through your entry fee of £5, along with a generous donation of £1 by Southwark Rooms for every “Keep It FAX Cocktail” that you buy.
