My hopeless romantic says yes but my independent woman says no
you know that feeling you get when you’ve just showered and you crawl into a soft bed with clean sheets and you just feel safe and calm? that’s how I want my heart to feel
Sooooo I’ve kind of fallen in love with this musical and need everybody to listen to it?? It’s a weird concept, but the music is awesome and the cast is SO much fun and I really hope there’s an opportunity to get to bring it back and see it in the future.
I’m going to try and include a couple of prints of this at WonderCon, so if anybody’s a fan. Feel free to stop on by~

Some ideas for bad things that are white/light:
lightning, very hot fire
snow storms, ice, frost on crops
some types of fungus/mold
corpses, ghosts, bones, a diseased person
clothing, skin tone, hair, etc. of a bad person
fur, teeth, eyes of an attacking animal/monster
bleached out deserts, dead trees, lifeless places
poison
Some ideas for good things that are black/dark:
rich earth/soil
chocolate, truffles, wine, cooked meat
friendly animals/pets/creatures
a character’s favorite vehicle, technology, coat, etc.
a pleasant night
hair, skin tone, clothing, etc. of a good person
undisturbed water of a lake
the case/container of something important
valued wood, furniture, art
velvet
Think to burn, to infect, to bleach vs. to enrich, to protect, to be of substance.

the politics of light and dark are everywhere in our vocabulary…psa to writers: subvert this, reveal whiteness and lightness as sometimes artificial and violent, and darkness as healing, the unknown as natural
“The truth finds more comfort in the dark”
artists, don't be discouraged!
It might take a while but you’ll get there! It took me a long time, but I got better! You will too. For example, take my gradual drawings of Babylon 5 over the course of several years.
First, for reference, an actual picture of the object I was trying to draw:
Now, here we are. My first embarrassing effort:
Can u feel the raw talent? No, u can’t. Because there isn’t any. But keep trying! Stubborn ol me kept making bad drawings! I made about a million of them:
Honestly, guys. I don’t know what happened, but one day, years and years of bad drawings later, something better came out:
Still scribbly, and weird, but loads better than before. And then, after I’d stopped drawing that wonderful space station for awhile and drawn other things, I decided to come back and ya know what? All of those bad drawings were suddenly worth something:
Seriously, my friends. New artists, old artists, writers, musicians, people feeling talentless… Don’t give up.
Don’t stop drawing those pictures. Because one day, you’ll suddenly realize how good you are at it.
One day, all your hard work will finally pay off.

Tell me i’m not the only one who has a special loathing for these movies, SIMPLY BECAUSE all the posters are the SAME 3 STOCK IMAGES:
