Ed has a beautiful arc about love and self acceptance. He learns to let go of toxic frameworks that have influenced and infected his entire life. He learns to forgive himself and to forgive the people he loves. He learns to grow, and that change is possible. He learns that he can be loved for himself, that he is not solely Blackbeard nor Ed nor the Kraken, but all of them, and all are worthy of love. He learns that his love is wanted and needed and never questioned.

It’s a beautiful story.
