KELCIE MARIETTA HENNESSY
HOUSE: Gryffindor LINEAGE: mother, Johanna Hennessy née Ellery, witch father, Marcus Hennessy, muggle SIBLINGS: {older} brother, Archie Rylant Hennessy, muggle BIRTHDAY: August 18 Kelcie grew up in a small flat in Muggle London with her mum, dad, and older brother Archie. Theirs looked like a typical family from the very beginning. Her parents went to work in the morning, returned at night. She and her brother attended school in the fall, did their revision at night. Her mother never hid the fact that she was a witch; she worked at a shop in Diagon Alley during the day. She would proudly wield her wand around the house for any reason it might be necessary, and her father thought nothing of it. Kelcie's grandparents -- her mother's parents -- had both attended Hogwarts, just as her mother did. When her brother turned eleven, they expected him to receive a letter, but none came. He was incredibly disappointed, but took it as motivation to excel in his studies to become more than his father was. Their dad had a modest job working in public transportation. He drove those double-decker buses all over London -- proudly. At age eleven, nobody expected for Kelcie to receive a Hogwarts letter after her older brother's fate, but it had arrived by trusty owl post all the same. Excitement filled her, but her mother worried. What if Kelcie was a squib, and the letter was all a mistake? She didn't want to see her daughter fail. Kelcie overheard the conversation between her parents about that particular topic, and she knew she was facing some very low odds as she prepared to enter Hogwarts. Attending this school and becoming a witch had always been her dream, even if she never showed signs of being a magical child when she was growing up. Her parents provided her with all the right supplies to begin schooling, and now Kelcie was prepared to enter into this new world and hopefully become the woman she'd always wanted to be. Kelcie is incredibly hard-working and determined; she's never been one to let what anyone else tells her stand in the way of what she wants to do. Many call it stubbornness, but her mother is proud of what a strong-willed young woman Kelcie has become. She wanted to become a Gryffindor just like her mother, and that dream came true. Now her goal is to keep focusing on her studies and do her best to succeed at magic so that she can get a job of good standing at the Ministry of Magic. She's not sure who she'll meet along the way, but she's very excited to find out -- and determined to have a good time while doing it.
