The memories of the motherly ocean inside me Manifests itself in tears Now, the vestige of the ocean flows within my body The ocean drift, flow and swirl inside me The heartbeat, overflowing tears… the ocean When the dazzling sea current becomes peaceful one day My body will dissolve into tiny particles and ascend to the sky They will then turn into stars… and perhaps descend back down to Earth once again Pearls are born like they are the tears from the shattered bodies of akoya shells Their sacrifice of life and pain turns into beautiful, round, distorted nugget Pearls speak the memories of the ocean from distant past to me, Who have left the sea and became a human being Only if I could carry that beautiful gem To that star above alongside with my soul.
